Green-eyed Jealousy 2 3 4
Back story
Someone passing through the bridge
I could never go to the other side
When will it ever be enough to see what lies be..
Forever guarding this path
Of which I don't even know
Where it leads to a light world that is be..
There once was some person
That said they would set me free
But now they don't come back
How dare they lie to me!
Where do they go
Far enough to the city
I've never been inside seeing the sights that are be..
My own place
My domain that in I stay
Never leaving to wander in the rays of sunlight be..
Green eyed jealousy
Shows a long bony hand
Extended to the one thing that kept longing be..
What kind of hope
Will you take from me this time?
There's nothing else that matters to me now beyond.
Parsee's story is a sad one....it had not started sad, of course.
She was the guardian of the bridge...a sort of special figure that all would have to pass by, they gave her offerings through conversation, or greeting, or even the occasional bit of food or drink from their pack...and parsee was happy to let them by. it was an interesting and simple life...
Simple....till someone kept coming....
A 'friend' she called herself...someone who only went to the bridge to see her and never to the city that she could not dwell in...Parsee didn't mind of course...in fact she grew very very fond of the person who came to her...
...then one day she didn't come....
then another....and another....and another....
Most would have thought the person could not make it, or had other duties, or just couldn't find the time...
...but not Parsee...
Parsee...thought that something she did had driven her away....and grew to resent herself because of it....wondering why, oh why, the people crossing the bridge could seem so happy with the others who traveled with them...why couldn't she have that...that special person who cared about her...why couldn't she have her anymore?
That jealousy....it was that jealousy that bore her power soon enough....and soon people started avoiding her...she didn't know it was the angry look on her face, or that she had begun to snap at people who tried to give her gifts...
all she thought was that they didn't like her anymore...that she couldn't be like them...why couldn't she cross the bridge, or get her own gifts...why...why was she cursed now? Why was she trapped?
...enter the present...
The Komeiji sisters had already been forced to put up signs that told people not to under any circumstance approach Parsee now...
There had been a few....none of them came back the same...she had become a true terror....a green eyed monster that no one seemed to be able to fix....
...she was envy incarnate....a depressed being torn apart by her own jealousy of others, if it weren't for the rather strict manner she was now entombed...she would have killed herself by now, and the Komeiji sisters knew it...they did not put the sign up to protect people from Parsee...
...they put the sign up to protect Parsee from herself...
Hashihime
Parsee is a Hashihime, a species of Youkai first appearing in Japanese Heian-period literature, Most notably the The Tale of Heike. After her husband left her and married another woman, the jealous and enraged the first Hashihime prays to the gods for revenge.
A priest tells her a way: She has to dress herself in red and paint her face with the same color, her hair arranged with seven loops and crowned with a burning brazier, then spend 21 days under the Uji bridge while holding a metal rod. So deep was her rage and jealousy, that she actually did the entire process, becoming a vengeful youkai driven by jealousy that only appears in the vicinity of bridges that cross over water. She appears to loving couples, threatening to kill them both unless they break up right there and then.
Ability
Envy/Emotion: Parsee's emotions are her most natural weapon....and her envy is her most powerful of emotions...simply tapping into that emotion, she can draw out immense energy to perform magic, or even draw a begrudging curse onto someone's soul.
Spell Cards
As written in"The Grimore of Marisa"
All spell cards are featured here.
Jealousy Sign "Green-Eyed Monster"
Notes: Saw it on the way to the underworld, slave type (invisible)
Jealousy Level: ★★★
A spell that impels the frustration of fleeing from a monster of unknown form. On closer inspection, Parsee leaves everything to the monster and does not move herself. Looks fun. This is an invisible slave type spell. This type of spell card is one of the ones I want to have. If I create a slave type spell card myself, what should I make as slaves? I'd like to spend my life looking for slaves.
Grandfather Cherry Blossom "Shiro's Ashes"
Notes: A kind of special party stunt, theatrical type
Jealousy Level: ★★★★
Sprinkle the ashes, though I can't tell of what, and flowers will bloom. Regardless of season or tree type, they will bloom. Though everyone is amazed by the flowers, what's really amazing are the ashes. I wonder where she hides those. I'm jealous. By the way, dodging flower petals is nothing special.
Tongue-Cut Sparrow "Large Box and Small Box"
Notes: Chiefly fables, slave type
Jealousy Level: ★★
A clone technique that makes a fake Parsee appear. Even fairies know that the big one is the wrong one. But if it's up to me I'd like to choose the big one. Because rather than the coins in the small box, it's better for me to have the youkai in the big box.
Malice Sign "Midnight Anathema Ritual"
Notes: Seen often in the shrine or like that
Jealousy Level:★★★★★★
The unfortunate spell which is supposed to be ominous but actually looks pretty. The flames of jealousy released from the spiteful five-inch nails are ironically brilliant. Maybe it would be fun to try having a midnight anathema ritual. I wonder whom I should have a grudge against?

OOC notes
Made for story...don't expect sunshine and roses right away either, Parsee is a very broken and depressed individual...and will take a lot of time to even break past the cold shell before one can even hope to try and drive the jealousy, wrath, and pain in her heart.
I don't have to play her at the bridge...YES its not canon that way, but i feel too bad keeping her in one small spot...it also doesn't help RP if someone is totally trapped in one spot.
