Pale_Elf

Anna is just about average for an Elven royal. Well, except for the fact she's no longer royal and she's exceptionally pale skinned. The snow of her homeland was often used as reference to her appearance, people jesting about how she could simply vanish into it if she pleased. Yet Anna grew tired of these remarks fairly quikly and with the life of a princess she had as well. Roughly around her 100th birthday, Anna grew to the point where she were too stagnated, too bored and too cooped up in the pristine towers of her snow covered home. Thus, she left it behind in order to seek out adventure, knowledge and entertainment. She had little to carry and took no servants of guards with her, wanting to see the world with her own eyes, unfiltered and unprotected from all it may hold by the coddling of those she knew. She also dropped her fancy titles so as to be treated much like anyone else whenever she arrived somewhere, though her tone and mannerisms often give her away for some noble type.

So that story I said was for another time? Guess what time it is! In her past, Anna was know as the Snow Princess due to her snow-like colouration and hair. She is the second daughter of the ruling family and back then, had the surname Pale, as her entier family did. Anna Pale, the Snow Princess of the Pale Kingdom, for her entire name and title. These days she's taken it down to simply her first name and homeland. In those times, everything was peaceful and joyous, if always cold. You see, the Pale kingdom, named after it's founding and ruling family, was situated in a snowy landscape, a tundra if you would, with little time each year when snow wasn't drifting down from the heavens. The landscape wasn't inhospitable though. It gave bountiful resources, animal crop or mineral and Anna grew up benefitting from it all. Something she was privileged to from birth without ever having to work a day in her life. Such is the benefit of royalty. Yet, things weren't meant ot last. No, the good never lasts for long. A kingdom of Elves living in the snow? It was pretty much unheard of before the Pale Kingdom sprung up a few centuries ago. Anna's great grandfather being the founder of the realm, even. Mind you, Elves do live long lives, so that's not much surprise. What happened to the Pale Kingdom, you may ask? I mean, I do keep talking about it in past tense, don't I? So I suppose I should give some explanation as to that. Peace, prosperity and freedom, that is what the Pale Elves had. That is what was taken, when the new owners moved in. They had endured barbarians, raiders, even the very beasts of the cold lands they chose to live for nearly 5 centuries before the first signs of true trouble arose. Before that point, their enemies had always been disorganized or few in number, feral beasts be they man or an actual beast. Yet once the 5th century began, that seemed to change. You see Elves, much like Dwarves, have a habit of sticking to traditions and old ways a little too much, while their enemies grew and adapted with the times. The kingdom had many great achievements to it's name, yet none could compare to what came. Men with sticks of fire and smoke, that spat pellets of metal from great distance. Sure, the Dwarves had better versions, but they kept their secrets to themselves, the greedy tunnel dwellers... So it didn't take long for the formerly easily dispatched foes to gain ground on the Pale Elves, to out gun them and eventually, to conquer them. Normally, barbarians or raiders would move on after ransacking somewhere they captured, but the prosperity of the Pale Kingdom led this group to simply take over instead, looking to the long term benefits of holding territory. Anna was nowehre to be seen by this point, already on her world travels, knowing not the fate of her people.

Anna is young, by Elf standards at least, only being in her early 100s. However, she is still a fully mature, if slightly immature in personality at times, Elven woman. She has snow-white skin as pale as the moon with hair to match. She has eyes like pools of purest blue water and the usual pointed ears of an Elf on either side of her head. Her face is soft shaped and youthful, shows little sign of having known hardship, yet her expression often gives light to either a cheerful persoanlity or a person unafraid to do what needs be done. Depending on her current mood, of course. She stands roughly around 5 feet and 7 inches with a pleasantly shaped body, a pair of round perky breasts to the front and a compact rump to the rear. Her arms and legs are thin, with her shoulders, hips and waist being slightly on the narrow side, while har hands and feet are small and delicate in appearance, with no sign of manual labour having ever been done by her. In all, her physical appearance gives of an air of nobility without even knowing a thing about her, other than she's of Elven descent, of course. The ears give that away. Her attire is rather simple, for a former noble. She wears simple but warm looking shirt and trousers, usually a grey for the latter and a beige for the former with an overcoat matching her shirt to add an extra layer of heat to her clothing complete with her family crest adorning the chest area. Another sign of her noble birth, though the only one she openly lets out by choice. The coat is fluffy and fleece lined, with a hood that she often keeps down now that she's moved to warmer climates. Her attire is completed by brown leather belt and boots, with a backpack hanging off her back usually filled with her supplies for the next part of her journey.

Anna's personality is that of a cheerful young woman. She's friendly, outgoing, helpful and protective of those she comes to like. However, she is also occasionally your typical noble as well. Or, partially, anyway. Anna can, if annoyed or just feeling it better for her circumstance, become cold and calculating, slightly snobby in the sense she looks down at peasants or those lower than her at least, and can become rather forceful in what she wants. This is usually for the benefit of others or her own safety, Anna is no stranger to danger after all. But can apply to simply wanting something and expecting to be given it without questions. The upbringing of a royal does wonders for one's sense of reality... It's a good thing that Anna rarely gets like that, right?

Information that is helpful, interesting or otherwise I just felt like adding, but didn't feel like it belonged in one of my other categories. Attention starved: Growing up nobility is hard. Especially so for royalty. You might think it the dream life, but just think. You'll hardly get any attention from your parents, who are allways to busy handling the kingdom's affairs to spend time with you. Raised by retainers and servants, you won't really know what love is. Anna is no exception. Only for her, this translates to attention in the less wholesome family vibe sense. The tpye you get with those close or special to you. She will never admit it, but she actually likes it when people treat her as someone special to them and care for her properly, including all the "special attentions" involved.
