When a person dies, it is on a very rare occasion that one's soul would fall between becoming a blessed or damned soul. A flux of indecision, as the Celestial Court strives to determine the proper entitlementfor the passing spirit. It is with this indecision that leads to the case for Shawn Roberts. He lived a life that stressed neither decency nor corruption, neither evil nor explicitly good, his soul had to be decided upon by the Celestial Court. A special council involving many divine or unholy beings, such as the likes of Balis ( Who prosides as the head of this council ), that weigh each of these unique souls to decide where they shall end up. Due to Shawn's faith being considered 'weak' and lacking a plead for forgiveness before his death, the ruling had to be made in one particular instance. He had to be of the Damned.

Though it could be seen as a somber and dire tale, it does not end with quite dismal end. Balis herself perceived of great use for such a soul. Rather than send it to the commons of The_Umbra to be tortured and tormented for the eons of eternity, they gave a... Promotion of sorts. From his casting into a literal hell, Shawn Roberts would cease to exist as the darker taint of his soul would take complete control. Pagen was born.

The remains of Shawn Roberts cannot be found other than the facial features that Pagen assumes. Forever on, Shawn Roberts is now a Demon kin to those found in the Umbral. A torturer, rapist, sinner, and murderous being... But with a more apathetic view on his existence. He was made part of the legion, but his 'heart' is not as dastardly set as those he serves the Unending Legion with. Granted, he'll still fulfill any request by his superiors without the slightest sympathy to whom it would accost, but one mustn't think he'd actively seek out such behavior to the extremes on his own. He is a Demon that does not care. He was granted immortality to serve, though it was never upon his request to be given such a 'prized' gift. In essence, he shrugs his shoulders and continues his life without care that it is now as one of the Damned.

He serves at a station above the most common Demonic class, frequently functioning as errand-boy and messenger due to his innate ability to go unnoticed even by those adept at tracking evil or the Demonic. Although a Demon and bestowed with the atypical dark gifts of strength, endurance, and stamina. He tends to elicit more finesse with his tasks as they are carried out. Either by subterfuge, trickery, or magic.

Noticeable Features and Attire: His skin complexion is that of a light grey, hardly noticable unless in well lit areas. Two short horns from his forehead, either approximately two inches in length. These are generally covered by a small Jester's cap of faded black and dirty white colors that matches with his oft worn vest, baggy pants, and slippers. All of which has the same dirty color scheme as the hat. Items Carried: A couple of slender daggers on each side of his vest along with the occasional vial or two of likely dastardly function. He also tends to be 'playing' with a red rubber ball that has gained notoriety while in his hands. Rumored to be capable of kidnapping people or used as a weapon, it is a strange object to be possessed by the Demon! Beyond these items, he either remains scarce of items or with the occasional variety depending on day and mood.
