Personality: Having less experience with people than your average teen, Pachu is what some might consider "a little daft". A nicer way to put it would be to say that he's very curious; around friends, he will openly ask them what the most obvious things are (technology, animals, everyday customs like school) and be in awe over some pretty simple stuff. That said, he has been around other humans for at least a year now, so he's getting used to day-to-day life, and he's not 100% gullible like he was when he first walked ashore. He's protective of people, and has a good heart. He's definitely still affected by hormones and pheromones, and can get blushy and nervous around cute girls of any age; younger, older, or his own. He loves games and being challenged, but has a bad knack of treating fights with enemies like games and not taking them seriously enough.

History: The people of Tide Town were pretty flabbergasted when they saw a young boy walking-- literally just walking, one leg after the other-- out of the sea one day, bare as the day any of 'em were born. A group of sailors at port were the first to greet the boy and offer him a change of clothes. It became readily apparent that he didn't speak a lick of English, but he happily accpted their funny garments and ate the plate of fish they put in front of him. When they woke up the next day, Pachu greeted them in perfect English, and was cooking them fish. That would bugger enough belief alone, but the boy had caught the fish himself. With his bare hands, he said. And it was five times his size.
Days turned into weeks, and Pachu enrolled in the small, local Tide Town Middle School, paying for his education with what little donations he'd received from the sailors who had "adopted" him and the fish he caught, then sold, at the market. Pachu eventually became a part of everyday life in the Town; the adults would wave at him, the other kids would play with him, the young girls would wave and giggle at him, and his superhuman strength was a boon for all the oddjobs people would ask him to do.
He never said a word about who he was, or the day he walked out of the ocean; truth was, he didn't remember much before the moment his head peaked out over the shore. He simply accepted his new life here, with his new family-- his only family.
Maybe that's why when monsters started cropping up out of the ocean to terrorize the town, Pachu was so quick-- and so adament-- to rush to the shore. He recognized the screams of the people on the beach and ran to their aid, scooping up an anchor that had been left off the side of the docks. Hoisting the huge, metal "weapon" over his head, Pachu began fighting off the myriad monsters with it. He beat them, he battered them, he smashed 'em good! And when they were all bruised and bloody, he chucked 'em back into the ocean where they belonged. All-in-all, the whole brawl took maybe.. 15 or 20 minutes? But Tide Town would remember it forever as the day their very own Child of the Ocean had saved them from harm.
Pachu Wavebreaker became a hero. Pretty soon, word spread of the strange boy and his powers, and a few curious folk started to flood the small town, looking for him. Some people were innocent enough, just wanting to meet him-- he ended up being quite the tourist attraction, at least for a little while. But then less savory folks started popping up in the crowd. People who wanted to poke at him. People who called him a freak. People who wanted to cut him open and dissect him. People who wanted to test their strength against this wonder-child they'd heard about. Villainous sorts.
Fearing for the safety of his town, Pachu came to a decision; he couldn't stick around. He couldn't stick around anywhere for too long. He'd have to pack up his few meager possessions and, like he'd always considered before, start traveling the world. With his trusty anchor hoisted over his shoulder, Pachu set off for new adventures-- helping anyone who asked, no matter who they were.
