They needed to fight and scrap around for survival. Oya was alawys the more timid of the two but Otilla was the go-getter with a wisecracking attitude who provided for both of them. If one of them were sick or hungry then Otilla was on the job. There was a day however, where Oya desperately needed medication and Otilla unfortunately had to steal from a caravan. Of course the guards were not a fan of that and gave chase to the young otter, she was more than likely going to be executed. On the pursuit however, Otilla stumbled upon a sealed shrine, containing a deadly weapon from a sealed demoness. Once Otilla was forced to wield the weapon to defend herself she had lost all control, butchering the guards outside in a fit of fury as she was unable to hold back. This is how Otilla gained the title of "Cursed Swordswoman" Now fastforward to the future where Otilla remained as Oya's guardian all the while Oya was the one who got a job working as a shrine maiden to a Sect of Fire, figuring it was her turn to help her partner even given her timid nature. They eventually left their awful village to join a band of heroes, The Brave 7. However that was another story, Oti and Oya after the events with the Brave would just drift from village to village. Getting into trouble or solving trouble before moving onto the next. --PLACEHOLDER OTI IMAGE--Otilla is a "Cursed" swordfighter. She wields an oversized dai-katana along with utilizing her water powers in combat given her role as a bringer of Water and otter. Due to the nature of her blade however, where she isn't allowed to hold back if the weapon is used, she'll opt to hand to hand most of the time. But when she does use the weapon, she has "Razor" techniques, which are ways to instantly incapacitate a foe or end their life.
