Otaku

... This is exactly what it looks like.

Meet the typical Otaku. Well, typical is actually quite the understatement: this particular individual is obsessed with most anime he's come across in a way that would scare even the most devoted of his kind. In fact, his obsessions are the very reason he's in this Nexus in the first place. But perhaps we should rewind a bit, shall we?

This young man's name is Edward Hiedrich. It was actually Isaac Normand, at one point, but he changed it shortly before he arrived in the Park. He's a rather nerdy seventeen year-old, in some ways. His obsession with Anime and Manga caused him to travel all throughout the land, cosplaying as virtually any male (or remotely male) character he could. In fact, he's so devoted to cosplaying that he created a unique costume for each and every convention or meet he attended, and considering that his obsessions started around the time he was twelve, he's seen his fair share of cons. Fortunately, his parents were well off (his father was a sorcerer in secret), so he was able to afford all of the expenses. He created all of the clothing, though he needed help with some accessories and the various wigs he used. He even managed to adapt to the body shape of the characters he portrayed, his extremes being when he portrayed Choji from Naruto and when he imitated Vegito from Dragon Ball Z (within two months of each other!).

The fact of the matter was, it wasn't very healthy for him, and whatever time he used to work out, gain weight, or create costumes ended up taking away from his time to watch anime, read manga, or enjoy his paraphernalia. So, being the superstitious type, he delved into his father's private library to see if he had anything that could help. He happened to find an old book that looked as though it had been closed for centuries. Within were two spells of interest to the boy...

The first allowed him to solve his problems in relation to his cosplaying. He used the spell to charm his right index-finger's knuckle with a marking. Touching it to an image would cause him to transform into a being similar to that of the character, whether fictional or not. He would gain abilities similar to the character, but he would keep his mentality... However, it has a few downsides. His return to his normal state happens at indeterminable times, and he is commonly restored to normal without any clothes on. Another odd side-effect is that the spell does not discriminate between species or gender, which means he could become a hermaphroditic octo-girl if he touched the wrong image...

As for the second spell, it was something quite perplexing. It spoke of a world where the line between reality and fiction had blurred... A nexus where sexual deviation had been taken to a new extreme. Oddly enough, the prior quality interested him more than the latter; could his idols exist in another world? He cast the second spell and ended up here, a bag of various manga in tow... Now it is only a matter of time...

-How this Character Works-
Commonly, Ed will be in his normal form, which is that pictured. He goes around dressed as Edward Elric quite often. A good majority of RPs with him will have him remain in this form.

If a situation in a Roleplay calls for a specialty (or Ed feels the need to transform into another character out of his own accord), he will temporarily take the form of another character. Otherwise, he's going to stay the same through a good majority of the games he's in.
