Nyala

Odd girl... but then, she can't help it.

Nyala is an arachne. Basically, a spidertaur, though I ought to kick myself for using that word. Cute little thing. She stands about four and a half feet tall, at her full height, with red hair, and red eyes, and pale skin from a lot of time spent being nocturnal(she typically is). ... Oh, and yeah. She's got a spidery lower half.

Looking to be a young(about 12 years old) girl, at least from the waist up, Nyala is... pretty cute, one supposes. She's got four eyes on her forehead, two where eyes should be, and an eye on either cheekbone, of all places. Her hair is short, and really pretty raggedy. Her skin, as mentioned, is pale, the only color to be seen on her body on her lips and exposed bits, that being a pale pink.

About halfway down, though, she certainly changes from human to something other. Just under her nethers, one would find the start of a spidery body, and, here... a mouth. One that opens up by plates of chitin folding out, into a simple, soft, pink passage, dripping with fluids. This isn't a terribly muscular passage, in fact being incredibly soft, but then, she's got plenty of limbs to cram prey in with. Her spidery body is pretty typical aside from that, with eight spindly legs and a smooth blue-black carapace. It's marked on the back, rather intricately, in blue-green and pink, the former being apparently a sort of clan marking, the latter being... more like scars, smooth lines marring the pattern of the other. On the underside, though, there's a gap in her armor, smooth, pink flesh showing underneath.

Nyala's an odd one, though. A loner, for whatever reason, she lives in what amounts to a hammock she made herself, high in the trees, sleeping there during the day, and descending at night to hunt. She's got any number of webs set up all over the place, most of them ineffective, but she's got a few tricks... she mimics the bolero spider, really, making a wad of sticky webbing on a ropelike strand, and whapping birds and such with it to catch them.

Nyala is really a timid little thing. She's grown up mostly on her own, over about five or six years, following a fairly traumatic event. However... people interest her. She'll watch em, mostly... sometimes she'll try to say hi, but she can't talk so well. She can understand most of what's said to her, but she's forgotten what speech she knew, for the most part.

Timid and easily frightened, Nyala will often turn tail and flee when startled. She's got a pretty good turn of speed, being able to scuttle along at eighteen miles per hour easily enough. She's a bit flinchy at times, but she's not terribly violent, so most often if she's snared she'll push and whine and squirm, rather than bite... with careful actions, you might calm her down enough, and work things out. Or, with a careful approach, she might not panic at all, and may become nice and calm and friendly...

TLDR: Short, cute driderish girl.

Such clothing as she has are simple wrappings made of her own silk, hiding her bits. Nothing special.
