A common question, for Nozomi. She certainly stands out from the crowd, pretty much all the time, and most people don't even think people with her profession still exist! And, well, most people don't go around in green, hooded robes and black thigh-high stockings with hiking shoes, now do they? Nor, in fact, do people tend to wear that snug black bodysuit she's got underneath that, which shows off her rear and chest nicely. Most people ALSO don't lug a staff around with them everywhere, curly on top and gnarly all over.
Most people, however, aren't mages.
Shocking, I know! A magic-user in a modern setting!? What's up with that!? As it happens, though, there's any number of ways one can become a mage, and any number of ways for a mage to find modern work. There's not nearly as much call for adventurers these days, mind you, so that tends to be right out, but it's still not uncommon for them to work on cleaning up the places under old cities where nasty things tend to dwell. Which, really, is most of Nozomi's job: Go nasty places, and kill it with fire, lightning, frost, and whatever else works.
That said, do you have any idea how hard it is to get insurance as a mage!? Or how hard it is to get paid for some things? Or how hard it is to be taken seriously by some people? Geez, you'd think most people think there AREN'T mages anymore!
... which they don't, in many places. Still, enough people DO know, and so Nozomi has work. Pity it can be so far between jobs, but eh, sooner or later something bumps in the night, or slithers in the dark, and then, well, who are you gonna call?
A SPECIALIST, of course.
Nozomi herself, though, is rather striking in other ways, even without her special clothes. She's got long, silky, dark brown hair, verging on black, with deep red highlights visible in the right light. Her eyes are a lovely, ruddy brown, and she's quick to smile, always seeming cheerful and upbeat, at least under most circumstances. Her figure is moderately athletic, with a perky, mid-sized chest and a toned rump, and she's got an adorable, huffy pout, too, thankfully rarely seen for any serious reason. There's also a sort of vibrancy to her that tends to draw people's attention. Mostly, though, she's a cute girl in odd clothes, so she gets plenty of stares anyway.
