A girl, no older than eleven or twelve, and standing at a grand height of 4'11". She has shoulder length brown hair, and piercing green eyes. Dressed in black clothes so generic they seem to just fade into obscurity unless you study them closely, she wouldn't seem out of place in pretty much any crowd. Her skin is the pleasant nutty colour of a child who spends a lot of her time out in the sun.

Nexan can usually be found smiling, for any number of reasons, and is generally a comfortable person to be around. Something about the way she looks at others seems slightly off, however; she seems almost envious.


Nexan is a creature known as a Nobody. This is somewhat of a misnomer: she has a body, as well as a soul. What she lacks, however, is a heart.

Nobodies are creatures created from the empty husks of those turned into Heartless (this is another misnomer, as Heartless are nothing but hearts, but hey) who possess (or used to possess) strong hearts.

Lacking a heart, Nexan does not truly have any emotions. Like most Nobodies, however, she's so good at emulating emotions that she can even fool herself into thinking she actually feels like an ordinary human. She generally chooses to be happy, as she likes being happy.

Nexan is a strange Nobody. Unlike other human-shape Nobodies, Nexan has the ability of the lower Nobodies to alter her shape somewhat:; she can elongate her limbs, for example, or control parts of her body people normally can't control, such as her hair. This control even extends to her digestive system, meaning she can ingest, and digest, almost anything she wishes to.


Back when she was a human, named Anne, the girl lived in a world known as Radiant Garden. One fateful day, she was abducted from her school during lunch and subject to terrible experiments in the bowels of a castle called Hollow Bastion; the nature of these experiments eluded her at the time, although she has come to understand that they were experiments into the nature of the heart. In the process of these experiments, her heart was seperated from her body, and she became two 'people': a Heartless, who took the form of a feminine Invisible, and a human-shaped Nobody named Nexan.

While she was still human, Anne had the strangest ability to sense the health of others, and even coax it into changing, for better or for worse. When she became a Nobody, these powers grew, making her personal 'element' the element of "Life". These powers allow her to heal or harm others with the merest of touches, as well as draw energy from other beings.


Like all Nobodies, there's one thing that Nexan desires above all else: she wishes to be whole again. She's searching for her Heartless in the hope that she will feel the same, and they can fuse to become one person again. Currently, however, she feels most comfortable around creatures with hearts, as if feeling whole vicariously through them.

Magic
Due to her control of Life, Nexan can cast a number of spells. Yay!

Cure/Cura/Curaga - Basic, Medium and Heavy healing, respectively.
Dia - Lowers defense and gradually saps health.
Drain - Draws health from the target and gives it back to Nexan.

Nexan can almost make use of the Corridors of Darkness to teleport. Usually, these are dangerous to use, as they slowly erode away at the light within one's heart. But, as she has no heart...
