You know how it is with Sailor stories. After a long voyage they'll sit themselves down with a beer in one arm and a woman in the other, telling story after story of weird and mysterious sea creatures they've seen during their long career.
They'll tell tales of giant sea serpents that ripped their ships to shreds, mermaids dragging overhorny sailors to the bottom of the seas, all sorts of things. One of the most popular stories of all time is the Loch Ness Monster. His legend has been passed down from generation to generation, debate being raged from his very existence to whether there is more than one.
First spotted in Scotland, he became famous when a London man named George Spicer told a tale that a gigantic sea monster resembling a dragon swam across the ocean in front of him, carrying a large monster in his mouth. His fame went through the roof immediately, so much that the Secretary of State in Scotland ordered the local police to prevent any attacks on him. He was photographed multiple times, though debates continue on whether his pictures are legitimate.
Nowadays with modern technology, people search for monsters such as the Loch Ness Monster on a daily basis. They travel so far out to sea, monitoring the water with their radars and all that techy stuff. Little do they know, monsters like the Loch Ness Monster have learned to adapt, and the few times that they are discovered they destroy the ones that found them, leaving behind a trail of rubble for others to discover and continue to build up the Loch Ness legend around.
Some of these Monsters have died out, others have perished through various means. Some of them though, still live. Nethalah is one of those creatures.
She's over 200 years old and lives among the sea. From the tip of her tail to the top of her head she's over 20 feet in length. And yet despite being a sea creature, she often spends more time on land than she does in the sea. You see, Nethalah has the unique ability to morph into a human when she's on land. Within a few moments, her long tail will shrink into her torso, split into two, and form a pair of legs so that she can walk on land and interract with others.
She doesn't speak much, but when she does she's very direct and to the point. She prefers to show others whom she is by her actions. She loves to tease, and she's very creative with how she interacts with people. If she likes you, she'll keep you close and act very sweet. She'll comfort you if you're sad, reassure if you're scared, and cradle you when you're lonely. But if she hates you, her glare will practically burn a hole through your body. She'll hold a personal vendetta against you, and the next time you visit the beach it will be to your undoing. Indeed, it's very hard to get back on her good side once she's angry at you.
Oh. And her permanent and only lover is
Xiao_Yu. The rest of you peoples are just her toys. ^^
