Name: Naru Itimagi
Age: 20
Birthdate: November 17
Height: 5'9"
Weight: ~120-130 lbs.
Titles: Embodiment of Chaos, Delusional Anti-Hero, Lunarmancer
General Info
Naru has long been a name that sparked warnings, both bizarre and downright sounding ridiculous, for the fact that the laws that governed the very fabric of reality ceased to exist wherever his presence was found to be - to the point that it became easy to tell where Naru had been and possibly was, the world he had touched had become warped in so many ways...though, it wasn't always physically noticeable. Even the wildlife, driven by nothing but instinct, would try to avoid such areas Naru had touched, the very air distorted and chaotic to even them to where none, prey or predator, would feel even remotely comfortable passing through such areas.
However, while such warnings are still given out to those who either know nothing about him or desire to seek him out, those very warnings have long ceased to be accurate and merely serve to give him a chaotic - if not potentially bad - reputation, or to flatter his ego, rumored to be 'the size of Earth's moon' as worded by some so that it would not get any bigger than it already was; aside from this, the ego he carries seems to become less and less a part of what defines him and more as a past he carries around like a briefcase, much like the inaccurate warnings still given to this day about him.
In truth, Naru is merely a very chaotic being, driven by his own intelligence and thirst for knowledge to learn whatever he can, however he can - to the point he would willingly throw himself into the jaws of death or into the deepest, darkest pits of Hell to uncover even just a fraction of knowledge pertaining to something else. It could very well be his immortality, once rumored to be due to his lack of conscious thought before acting, that drives him to seek knowledge in such dangerous places, though it may be a need to understand himself as well that makes him put his immortality on the line so often, in such reckless fashion, so that he may learn not just more about the universe he knows about...but to understand his own existence, and the role he plays throughout it all.
In the end, one fact about him still remains accurate to the fullest, and that is the fact that the easiest way to describe him in as fewest words possible...is to simply use his name: Naru. No other words can be used by themselves and manage to scratch the surface of the complicated and chaotic being that he is.
The Truth
In truth, Naru is known to be many things, one of them to not be sane. While he tends to act much like a mad scientist or a young child with a curiosity that exceeds safe levels, he is actually a very level-headed and sane individual that acts much like he used to in the past, both to keep up the ideal that he's yet to change over the past four or five years and to keep a hold of the past that drove him to where he is now in life; in a way, it's like his own past is a memento to him, something he can hold on to and look at to remember memories from days to years passed, back to a time when life was more simple and less riddled with war.
While one would never see past his cheerful and energetic shell normally, it is during the rare times that someone manages to stumble into him in some of the darkest corners of the world, seeing him reflecting, that they can learn that his life is a mass of charades - the reason being is so he can learn more about times and events that others only vaguely know about or remember, and in the end, try to decipher his greatest mystery yet: his own purpose and existence. He has great experience in hiding behind masks, or aliases, to obtain what he seeks, and has thus done the same with his own personal life...though only those of exceptional perception and connection to him can see through all but the most difficult of his ploys to hide it from public view.
One would wonder why he, so deep down, is so sullen and dark, and one of the best explanations is that he is charged with a difficult task only he could carry out: to watch over the flow of Time, and ensure that nothing disturbs its smooth and steady flow, so that life itself remains undisturbed and relatively safe. As it is, the former 'Time Guardian' as Naru himself puts it, one day went insane and threatened lives while killing others before Naru and his allies stopped him, eventually freeing the former guardian from their torment and releasing him from the dark shell he had become trapped in; as a result, some time later, Naru was appointed the new Time Guardian, as the former one had become too old in spirit to uphold the weight the task had on them.
Naru accepted the task, not out of being the former Time Guardian's apprentice, but with the knowledge he was the only one who could take on the task - any normal mortal being, like his former teacher, would eventually be driven insane, as the task subjected the watcher over Time to seeing everything that has, is, and might be for all living entities. A mere human would be driven insane simply knowing what may be their future, to know every possibility that could occur from even the slightest of their actions, or lack there of, to the point they would perhaps only see one path and struggle their whole lives to prevent it, only to cause it to happen in the end.
Naru was different, as he didn't care what happened with his future - he could look at it all he wanted, but he would not let himself be defined by it, preferring to carve out his own future in the same fashion humans were known to be unpredictable and inventive with overcoming challenges. Plus, as he was already able to remain normal with overwhelming thoughts running through his mind on a constant basis - as he is, in truth, insane - he would be able to take upon himself seeing the pasts, the presents, and every possible future for every living entity in existence and not buckle under it all like his teacher did, or like any other being, insane or not, would. He alone would be able to carry the burden, and he alone would be able to fix anything that went wrong with his job, with his great skill, knowledge, and concepts on the manipulating of Time before-hand granting him a definite edge on fixing any issues that threatened to disrupt the natural flow of Time.
In a way, it was as if he was supposed to take this role in the end - but not willing to leave it at that, his thirst for knowledge and curiosity drives him to learn more and see if there is anything else he is supposed to do with his existence, and to learn if there is more to what he is than he already knows. He is, in numerous ways, the prime example of many things that drive the beings with rational thoughts through their lives: a desire to understand one's self, to discover their purpose in life, to learn all there is to learn.
To this day, he continues to be the very image of intelligent life everywhere in the multiverse, ever searching for the truth and for their purpose in it all. He remains the same being he always was, what we all are, and to be the very image and example of both insanity in its base, natural form...as well as the very essence of chaos, which drives us all to discovery and action in the first place.
Equipment "It's always best to have the right tool for the right job, and the right tool for the right tool - that way, you keep the right tool in tip-top shape with the right tool, so the right tool is always ready for the right job it goes to."
Translator: A device Naru invented himself years ago, he has since upgraded it as he met new species and new languages - to the point that he has most languages of most species, extinct or located in remote dimensions included, recorded within it, allowing him to understand what others are saying and being able to speak any language himself and have it translated into the others' native tongue. However, one thing has yet to be altered from the older model - the fact it has an attitude to boot, having a sentient AI imbedded within that took on the aspect of, safe to say, an asshole. Why Naru hasn't bothered to fix it remains unknown.
Com-Link: Usually hidden from view with his hair, when a human, or headgear in the case of other forms, this allows him to remain in contact with his own AI back in his main base, back in the Fragment HQ, located in a different dimensional lay-line. While he has it linked to each of his other bases, he tends to contact through the main line to 'The Core' as he calls it, allowing him to obtain information faster than using alternative paths, so he is always in the know on situations he has either encountered before, seen been encountered, or done a study on a being or object. This, in turn, allows him to have an advantage in given situations, as he has the information directly uploaded to his neuro network and can see everything he has collected on the task at hand in his mind in seconds. He is also known to keep a few at each outpost, in case of working with others to accomplish a task, in which so he and they can all keep in contact as to make sure everything goes according to plan. Rumor has it, he is currently working on a revised version of this device, but he has yet to confirm or deny the rumor.
VT-527 Data Miner Bracelet:
An interesting device he keeps hidden most of the time - or simply doesn't wear when he can't cover it up - it looks like a simple golden bracelet upon his wrist. However, this is only a material version of it; the true version is a device he created and embedded in his own right arm based off the same Twilight Bracelet used by Kite in the original .Hack series. Due to Naru's origins being that of data, he is able to turn other forms of data into 'cores' for study, though rather than leave a weakened object or being in its place, this form of it consumes the entire entity. The 'core' is then stored in Naru's own being, where he then uploads it into the computers he has at his outposts to study the entity in question to learn more about it. While one would think it would only work on something composed of data, in truth, his Bracelet is capable of taking animate or inanimate objects - organic or not - and forming them into 'cores' as well. This is one of the secrets to his vast knowledge on the genetic structure of so many things and his ability to replicate almost anything one can imagine. As such, given how it's a well-kept secret, information has not even been given to all of the Fragments; the reason is that, while it is embedded in his wrist, it can be destroyed or stolen if one has the right means or techniques to do so. Given how he cannot create another one, it's safe to say that such a powerful, one-of-a-kind device is best kept safe at all times.
The Fragment's Sign:
While this appears to be a simple necklace with a metal Japanese symbol meaning 'dragon' on it, looks are highly deceiving with this accessory Naru wears all the time - it is enchanted, by his own hand, to possess vast Time-warping power, enabling him to either renew his own seemingly limitless wealth of power or temporarily enhance them. While it is a mere replica of the original, which the leader of the Fragments wears, it - like the other replicas - each hold a powerful enchantment implanted by Naru himself specifically for the wearer. So far, no one has been given a replica of his own, but there is a rumor that only one who can truly impress him can earn themselves the right to be given a replica of his own necklace, embedded with power as well; however, how one is to 'impress' him is unknown, much like the legitimacy of the rumor.
Aliases: "I am a man of illusions, and to never tell the whole truth is a way of life for me." ~ Naru, talking to another at the Alchemist Cafe
Nikolai Baklava (Bach-la-va) - The disguise Naru uses when around Soviet Russians, back in the day when Soviet Russia was still around. While the need for it isn't high anymore, any reason he may have to go back in time in Russia can only be done under this disguise. In the present, he is well-known by the Russians, so a need to disguise himself around them is not needed anymore; on the contrary, they still expect him to pay them back for the mountain he 'borrowed' and replaced with a section of forest.
Vector Telasi (Tel-a-sea) - This identity is better covered under a different recorded file, as logged by Naru himself, and is thus provided here, under the very same name as the individual,
Vector_Telasi.
Sya (Ss-i-ya) Itimagi - An identity used in the Pokemon Academy, he takes on the form of a seemingly normal Sneasel, save for how both ears are long, black, and purple-tipped, much like a Pikachu's would be for a reference to similar designs. Past that, his physiology is very similar to that of an ordinary Sneasel, but he has his own hidden traits that separate him from others - and it isn't just the ears. Perhaps these secrets are some of the reasons he refuses to go to the Infirmary, and instead take care of any and all of his own injuries personally; however, he is able to forge signatures on slips if needed, as he is, in truth, a master thief if the need calls for it, and to cover one's tracks is important in such a trade. Why he has decided to take up such an appearance and enroll in an academy for Pokemon and Demi-Pokemon is unknown, but if cornered with such questions, his answers would simply be "for the sake of knowledge". As for his name, the first name he took is a reference to an old friend of a colleague and partner of his, a paladin by the name of Alex Rictor, had once, back in his own dimension's Earth, who aspired to becoming a detective and professional sleuth, who grew up to run his own private eye department and solve some of the largest mysteries of the city of New Gonsworth and other places on the continent, before 7 years after Alex had left the town, the then grown up Sya joined back up with the returning Alex to embark on a journey that would prove that there was so much more at stake than previously thought, and in turn, brought out secrets that Sya had kept, and facts that he had over-looked without realizing it. It is safe to say that he does this out of respect to the memory of his partner's old friend, as Alex has already previously stated that he and Sya share a lot in common, both in personality and otherwise.

Ultima Weapon - Very tall, four legs, a tauric body, and draconic of sorts with overall appearance, this is a form that no doubt ganders the question as to why he chose this as a permanent alias: his answer has been nothing short of a shrug, suggesting that it just happened to be something that hit him for the sake of things. While his power doesn't reflect that of any of the actual Ultima Weapons that have existed throughout the Final Fantasy universes, his power instead reflects his own more than anything; this fact alone does allow him to still go by that name, as some of the true Ultima Weapons' powers coupled with a large portion of his own does hold true to such a name still. While he may feel all-powerful in this form, he is no less different from how he normally is...except he may be more prone to setting things on fire, of course.
Abilities: "Never underestimate that which you do not yet understand." ~ Selphia Itimagi, once when sparring with a member of the Four Dragons
Lunamancy: An ancient, if not largely forgotten, mystic art that Naru specializes in, he draws in power from the moon for a variety of effects, either to restore his own energy or boost his own power. While it has large potential, it has its drawbacks: first, he has to have a direct line to the moon, meaning even trees can weaken or completely negate his ability to draw power from it. Second, any energy he absorbs from it dissipates when the sun rises, making it so he can't stockpile it for later use days later. Third, the phase of the moon determines how much power he is able to draw from it - new moon renders the ability useless, while a full moon grants him the ability to draw upon vast amounts of Mana to use.

Don't say I didn't do favors, folks. You ALL owe me one now!
Naru Itimagi
Male, Mana Beast Ninja, Level 5
"May the Worlds remember you for your good, and forget your wrongs. Requiescat in pace."
Age: 21 Hometown: Rabanastre
Bio: The previously thought lost younger brother of Ruby Flamewing, he apparently survived what was thought to have killed him - and he's not the only one to survive, at that, apparently; the other sibling of the trio also survived, thanks to him, though where his whereabouts are is under tight security by the Ninja. Having ended up in Rabanastre for one reason or another, it's clear that his intentions are clear: liberation of the city by the Zalbar and anyone else who wishes to claim it for themselves. He's got a long fight ahead of him, that's for certain.
Standing at 5'7" and weighing a lithe 130 pounds, he's a far cry from his more gluttonous, tall, and heavy sister - but where she ended up taking the path of the dark knight, he ended up taking up the path of the Assassin: fight from the shadows to ensure a brighter future for the common person. It seems like there's little to wonder as to how they both seem to fit easily as siblings.
PWR: 3 RES: 8 DEX: 14 MND: 8
Force: 2 Finesse: 5
HP: 110/110 MP: 40/40
ACC: 3 AVD: 10
ARM: 8 M.ARM: 8
Abilities: [Innate] Throw - Treat as a normal attack action with a +4 bonus to ACC and can target up to a Medium Range away. Use the thrown weapon's stats for calculating damage; damage is always calculated using DEX, so for an example, a Tier 4 Blade - which uses PWR instead of DEX - does DEX x 4 + 2d6. However, anything thrown without the Indestructible property is lost forever, and those with the property cannot be retrieved until after the fight. Improbable Weapons deal damage based on what tier they would be considered, and depending on what the Improbable Weapon is, may have special properties - and the Ninja cannot Throw what they cannot concievably lift.
"One does not simply limit themselves to a battle of raw power. Sometimes, it's best to end a fight before it begins."
Unusual Species (Dragon) - Species is now Dragon rather than Humanoid, and gain +2 to DEX due to species traits (whatever they may be).
"I am one of the last of my kind. I don't plan on letting that count drop another member anytime soon."
Tool Mastery - All of the 'Black Market Goods', and the item 'Smoke Bomb', only cost 50% of their listed gil price, and the Ninja can hold any amount of them as they wish - they do not contribute to the inventory limit.
"Always bring the right tool for the job, and keep your supplies within arm's reach."
Image - Once per session, the Ninja can use this as an Instant action to create three identical copies of themself that move and act as they do, increasing AVD by +1 for each copy. Any time the Ninja is subject to a single-target attack, after the attack roll is made, the copy vanishes, taking its +1 AVD with it; when subject to a Group- or Local-target attack, all copies vanish instead.
"I always found those 'ball under the cup' tricks interesting. Let's see how well you fare."
Chambara - When fighting enemies that are either Humanoid or have the Swarm monster trait, gain +1 AVD and an extra damage step to the target; when said target is both Humanoid and has Swarm, combine it to +2 AVD and damage steps.
"Bombs don't rule empires. Antlions don't enslave people. Your kind does. So your kind dies."
Grim Reaper - All attacks made during the pre-emptive round of a fight result in a critical hit of a roll resulting in 8-12, rather than the standard 12. Effects that alter critical hit chance do not apply to this.

Gil: 10
Destiny: 2
{Deciding to take on a General of the Zalbar Empire on his own, he was greeted by facing General Northburn, a Dark Knight with a family heirloom and coming from a long line of warriors that have served the Zalbar. When things looked grim, he pulled a miracle out of his sleeves: he persuaded the general to face him in a fist fight - no weapons, no throwing tools for him to use...just their fists.
This quickly became clear that he just screwed himself over more.
While Northburn couldn't stun-lock the Ninja, the result was bad for the fluffy Assassin, who absolutely is HORRID in a fist fight (seriously, PWR is calculated for damage - LOOK AT THAT HORRID SCORE). He lost.
By a critical fail in his last attack.
That's right.
He lost, not because it was hopeless to try and win, not because he chose to not escape when he had every opportunity to. He lost because he got a pair of 1's with his last attack. Probably had something to do with telling Fate to fuck off and go boil its head.
...And now he's encased in crystal ice. Where he'll end up being placed, and what will happen to his gear, only time will tell.
That, and the Nine Circles of Hell running in fear of his older sister's wrath when she finds out about all of this.}
