You know, she really looks pretty good, for all that she's not human. Of course, both her parents could pass for human, or very nearly so. Still, she wouldn't be here were it not for them. In more ways than one, come to that.

See, she's not the least bit human. Her Mother is a Shroudling, a race that lives behind mirrors and eats those that they think the world would do better without. Her father.... she doesn't know. Her mother liked him well enough that, well, she had Naia, but even she wasn't quite sure what her father was.

Still, it's worked out well enough. She's grown up well, and come to terms with both sides of her family, with both aspects of her nature. And, well, thanks to her friends(a certain woman in particular), she's grown curious. And, well, her mother doesn't disapprove. She shouldn't spend her time with them so much.... she should spend time among her natural prey! How else, and where else, is she going to eat?

So, instead of wandering across worlds like her friend, she decided to settle down on one in particular for a while. She could pass for human, so she did.... and she went to college. Paying for it was easy, too. All she had to do was take some of her savings(gifts, mostly, from friends who wandered across worlds, often gold) and cash them in. Only a few and her way was paid. She's /set/, she is.

So... now what?

Well, now she passes for human. She acts like a human, she talks like a human, she speaks English flawlessly(albeit with a bit of an accent), and she's friendly. A bit mischievous, as well, but if that's all her friends have to worry about, that's hardly a reason to complain. Of course, they don't know about her other feeding habits... most of them don't, anyway.

She looks normal enough, most of the time. Not very tall at only five feet four inches, with long, silky hair that's a auburn shade, pale skin, and gorgeous blue eyes. She tends not to wear makeup at all, at most using eyeshadow if anything(her favorite shade there is a pale pink). That's her MOST of the time. The other times... well. You'll not likely see her on this side of a mirror, looking like that. Those times, her hair is darker, her eyes a bit brighter, her skin paler... and she's got fangs. And, well, you'll see her looking out of your mirror at you. Best hope then that you're not someone the world would be better off without.
