Musa

Messy messy messy.... so very messy.

How can they expect him to do his job, when they go around destroying/sublimating other realities all the time! It's.... its irritating! Ah well.... there's only so much he can do, anyway. What do they expect of one Pure on his own, anyway?

Buuut, we're getting ahead of ourselves.

He is The Wayward Muse and Botanist of the Thousand Lost Gardens. Call him Musa, it's easier. And more irritating for those who stand on their titles like a pedestal. His is a pretty lengthy one, and an important one! Not that it matters to him. Its just a name, after all. Musa is much easier for him, and others, to remember.

Of course, his title is his name. His description. It is what he is. The Wayward part is new, though. See... he kiiiinda left without being told it was okay, officially. Namtari Pure Spirits, for the most part, aren't allowed to do jack shit, really. So what the hell is he doing out here, you may ask?

Why, he's collecting plants! Animals, too, but those are mostly collected as ideas.

Now.... why is he doing this!? Namtar is going around destroying worlds, and he's collecting... plants! It makes no sense! But wait, it does! You see, Musa is a Pure Spirit of Spring. He's one of Johanna's underlings, actually, and tended to spend a lot of time with her, back home. But one day, they got to talking about all the new plants out there that Namtar would never get to see... because, you know, they're destroying everything, kinda. And she made a comment about how nice it would be if someone went out there, and gathered all the plants and such that they could, so they'd have New plants and Animals in Namtar, without all the fuss of making them. And, well.... he got this strange notion of doing just that.

It was simple for him to get out. Not exactly EASY, but it was simple. I'll leave the details up to your imagination. But the point is, he succeeded! He's out!

So.... now what?

Well, now he's wandering the dimensions and worlds, pretty freely at that. He tends to manifest first in libraries, to pick up botany books, and zoology books, actually. Taking their information, he'll hunt down samples of whatever plants he can, and animals. More than one zoo has disappeared, mysteriously. Occasionally, small glass vials have been found, with traces of dirt. But those are just from when he's in a hurry!

Well... what's the deal, you may ask. What does he look like!? What's he doing to make this happen?

Well, he's a pure spirit. About 5'7, with longish, dark brown hair and very odd, bright green eyes. His skin is tanned, rather darkly at that, but it shows no sign of wear as someone who had spent years in a desert might. His features are a bit androgynous, as well, meaning that yes, he is a prettyboy. At least, when he's a boy. He doesn't have to be one, being a Pure! His hair is worn in a loose braid behind his head, tied with a slim vine given to him by Johanna. Hs clothing is also simple, typically mimicing blue jeans and a simple, light cloth shirt. If he ever needs a jacket, it tends to look like leather, or fleece. His shoes are always sneakers, though, for comfort. So, if ever you see a robed Pure wandering around with sneakers, that's proooobably him. He also wears glasses, but only for aesthetics. His only article of clothing that seems less than necessary is a necklace... also a gift.

As for what happens to the plants and animals... well, he dematerializes them. He turns them into ideas, and binds them to a notebook. It is, of course, much bigger than it appears to be.

Now, wait a minute, you say. Isn't this going to draw unwanted attention to himself? Well... maybe. But you see, sometimes he has permission from the local deities or authorities. Not often, but sometimes! See, he's on a semi-diplomatic mission, and that makes him a diplomat! If he has to, he'll manifest his Diplomacy and Tact as assistants, for those difficult negotiations. See, being a Pure Spirit is handy! ... even if he may be getting in trouble, should Cataphract come calling. Eh, he'll worry about that when it happens.

So.... what all can he do? Well, being a Spring Spirit, he's mostly limited to the nature he is linked to. He can heal plants, animals, and people, ensure a better harvest in later months, that sort of thing. He can also refresh those who need it, providing water and energy, with a little more effort. Its more difficult with people, but not by very much.

And, with a little effort and a willing partner, he can also confine someone to a pocket reality. His necklace, another gift from Johanna, lets him make more stable pocket realities within himself, and find his way between dimensions and worlds. A very handy skill, that!

Of course, someone unwilling can still wind up going inside him, in one of several entertaining ways... he isn't human, after all. And if its someone he LIKES... well, some accommodations may be made. Kinky, possibly. Ah well, what do you expect from a spirit who has an obsession with new things?

Alt of The_Tower, clearly made for Namtar and such. Please, do PM if interested. But, it should be known, and noted, that I dislike IC PMs.
