| "Hee~ You really ought to lock this stuff up a little tighter! It's easy living, this way!" Every household has it's share of pests and rodents, creeping and skittering behind the scenes, always just out of sight, making a living in a tiny world only a fraction of homeowner's. Constantly, they sneak out in the dark, darting here and there, snatching at whatever crumbs they can, all whilst avoiding the ever wary eyes of their host, attempting to skirt by unnoticed, living in a mutual relationship, often times, unknown to their host. Then, there are the more bold of these creatures; Those critters who show themselves in broad daylight and make no attempt to hide themselves until they've clearly been seen, and are under attack by a frightened or hysterical homeowner, at which point they seek the nearest, darkest crevice to dive into, escaping from their would-be killer's slipper just as it slams to the ground behind them. Most of the time, they do this while laughing. These creatures are the comical and traditional bane of housewives and the occasional queasy male in all walks of life, and none more so than that of the mouse. Unfortunately for his own unwilling host, Mus is one of the latter. A thrill-seeking mouse boy with nothing but time on his hands, and a sense of humor. Despite his small demeanor, he loves to tease those he finds himself living with, hidden between worlds of the small and the large, running between the two in a rather exciting, and fun, if dangerous lifestyle. He's had more than a few close calls, of course, often times getting himself into situations he cannot escape from or control, and he's not so bold, then! Much to the contrary, Mus seems to be the literal manifestation of the "It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye", except that, in Mus' case, much more than just an eye is at stake. This is especially true around the more feline of hosts; They are both the epitome of fun and the most horrible of dangers, a fine line between both fields of victory and loss. You see, Mus absolutely loves pranking and picking on cats and other types of felines. Not simply because they're more fun, or because they provide more of a challenge, but simply because he is a mouse... and mice hate and fear cats. Aiming to stand out from his brethren, he openly taunts felines, and engages in paltry antics of essentially getting under their skin... most of the time, figuratively, though in a few unfortunate cases, literally. Don't be surprised when he thrashes, angrily and fearfully, as he's caught, however. Many a kittyfolk has found that Mus is not exactly the most calm and collected under pressure or threat of being eaten or mistreated by a larger creature, and is especially so when faced with his more feline hosts. Still, his efforts so far have kept him alive to sneak in, steal cheese and crackers, and terrify other to no end another day, so he's not completely helpless! So, you may as well just leave the refrigerator door or pantry open. He's going to get those cheese and crackers, somehow! Notes: Mus gets into trouble, all the time, like when he had to escape from this catgirl!   |
