Her given name, Moriko, does serve a purpose, even if it is something of a subtle one... "Forest Child."
Having been too young to remember, she cannot recall how she appeared in the forest, or how she even managed to survive with such violent creatures everywhere. Did her parents abandon her? Did something happen to them? She doesn't know. But now, at the age of 19, she calls a small village in the center of that very forest she was found in her home.
Growing up, she found fascination in battles with what everyone called 'monsters.' Taking up sword and shield, bow, broadsword or any other kind of weapon, she would venture out day after day, only to fight whatever posed a threat to the residents in her village. After becoming of age, she was called the village's official Hunter.
She still considers this to be her proudest day.
Even though she has proven herself time and time again in near countless battles, many are skeptical about even allowing her to stay. With eyes of crimson and jet black slits in the center of the hues and the capability of swinging a massive blade with ease, how could she not be called a monster herself?
She has gained both respect... And fear.
Some say she had "the blood of the beast" within her.
Over the years, she skinned these beasts and formed her own armor and weaponry.
Her greatest battle took place no more than a month ago. As she slept, the ground began to tremble with a familiar rhythm. Footsteps of something much larger. All of the villagers watched from the distance as Moriko fought this giant beast. Suffering damage that no human should be able to withstand, she only managed to outlast the beast with endurance, as they constantly traded blows. But moments after the beast fell, so did she...
Her left arm took the majority of the damage, and was incapable of being used for quite some time. It took her weeks to recover enough to be able to stand again.
However...
When she got up from her bed, she was no longer in a familiar place.
Having been deemed as too much of a threat to the village, she was placed on a small boat as she slept and sent out to the sea. As a final farewell, a few of the villagers used parts of the beast to form a new weapon and armor for her, which she now wears.
The left arm is a sleeve with a sling, and she uses it to keep her left arm behind her. She is able to use her arm now, by some miraculous recovery, but she keeps her arm there as a reminder...
Returning to her village one month later, she discovered the village had been slaughtered.
By what, she found, was the beast's enraged children.
The villagers had managed to kill one, which was enough evidence for her.
Leaving the one place she called home behind, Moriko wanders the world with no true destination with only her armor, weapon and proud Hunter title.
-Noticeable Features-
Her left arm is covered by a large sleeve and is actually slung around to her lower back.
Her right eye is closed and has a large scar running down it.
Her one usable eye is a deep crimson and slit like a feline's.
-Personality-
While Moriko does show a high amount of confidence, she is not cocky. Doing her best to be considerate of others, she will only draw her blade when either herself or others are in danger. Otherwise, she is very quiet and, for the most part, keeps to herself.
Yet... She does have a dark side that any have yet to truly see...
Even with that said, she still has human emotions and even craves companionship. Someone to call a true, close friend, or even a lover.
(If interested, please, do tell.)
She does not go by a 'kill on sight' basis. If a dragon, per say, shows sentience and respect, she will return it.
-Stats-
Height: 5' with armor.
4' 10'' without.
Weight: 165 lbs' approx.
500 lbs approx. with armor and weapon
-Weapon-
Entitled the 'Dragon Seal Sword.'
Although it has no supernatural abilities, it is made to both pierce and tear through dragon scales. Being both extremely durable and sharp, there is not much that can withstand a direct blow from this weapon.
Notes to macros
While I do say she is a macro hunter, it does not mean
she will attempt to kill one on sight. In the past, she has
enjoyed the company of multiple macros, and feels quite
comfortable around them. If anything, she will even try
to befriend them if she sees they are not simply brutish.
But if one immediately tries to harm her, she will not go easily...
