The Guild of the Rising Phoenix

The guild has been around for many years and has encampments located around almost every major city, except for Stoneholde, those butts. Anyway, the guild is respected for its power and its ability to produce quality hunters, who eventually become guards for those major cities in order to keep them safe from monster attacks. The deities know that the lords of the land want a good guard when a swarm of goblins or a Grimogre attacks! More often than not, these guards will eventually become knights for the lords, and there's a good chance that skill alone will grant them the honorary title of "grand praesi". A glorified guard, but it is a well respected title among all holds!

Because of the flow of newbies to seasoned hunters who end up being bought for their skill, the guild does not always keep the same faces around unless the person wishes to stay. In that case, the guild itself gives the title "Theron" to a seasoned hunter who proves themselves in multiple hunts after choosing to stay with the guild.

The Guild Master, Lisha "Steel Leg" Briggs.
She got her nickname after being taken into the mouth of an ancient dragon, got her leg caught between its teeth as it bit down, and continued to fight the beast. The fight ended up pretty one sided after that, but not for the dragon. This woman ends up fighting harder the more hurt she is, so that injury to her leg ended up being more of a benefit for victory. She still has a slight limp to this day, but that doesn't stop her from going out to help take down the largest of monsters. Rumor has it that she has never once used the Guild's private reformation chambers, not even once! -- To business though... She handles most all guild activities, including testing the new recruits to see if they have what it takes to make it into the Rising Phoenix. Her subordinates describe her as cold and fiercely adherent to the rules of the hunt. Those that are new or not under her command would describe her as a kind-hearted individual who allows levity and fun in most cases. If you asked her what she's like yourself, she'd tell you that "if you have time to ask such questions, you have time to train", then quickly put you into a practice fight with another person. She's not above accepting challenges from recruits to fight them. It'll be a curb stomp symphony even though they don't know it, but she'll still humor them.

Baymoor

The original encampment is where the guild master chooses to stay, though she does visit the other encampments from time to time.

Recently the original camp was under attack by a group of Wyrms and suffered a few structural losses. The status of the encampment is this:

Mess Hall: Open
Main Hall: In need of repair
Training Grounds: Destroyed
Lodging: In need of repair
Vault: Destroyed
Border Fence: In need of repair
The Pit: Open

Rebuilding and repairing costs money, and the guild earns this money by taking missions to hunt down monsters which terrorize the holds. The guild master accepts these missions, assigns them a difficulty grade, passes them on to be accepted by hunters, the hunters hunt the monster and do whatever is ordered on the hunt list. Hunters receive a few pills to take with them on a mission, usually three. These pills will allow the user to reform in the immediate area if they were to meet an untimely end. Exhausting the supply and ending up inside of a predator will force the hunter to reform back in the Main Hall unless the reformation chamber is on the fritz, then they will be stuck inside the predator's body as a bit of jiggle until it is repaired. A successful mission grants the guild a sum of money and the hunters get a cut for their work. Failing a mission will gain nothing but the sting of defeat and the knowledge that hunters filled the stomachs of one or more monsters out there. How embarrassing to end up as their jiggle!

The Pit

The Pit is a specialized training area for anyone who feels they need to brush up their skills against a live opponent, namely the monsters that are captured out on hunts. Recently, the guild has received many requests to capture monsters, yet the specifics on what to do with them were left out, so someone had a brilliant idea. Why not keep the monsters to use as live practice partners who you wouldn't have to hold back against? It was a great idea!

There is a size reference for monsters:
S - Small creatures, usually within the range of 1 to 3.5 feet in height.
H - Human sized creatures, ranging from around 4 to 7 feet in height.
M - Medium sized creatures, ranging from 8 to 15 feet in height.
L - Large creatures, ranging from 15 to 30 feet in height.
G - Giant creatures, ranging from around 30 to 80 feet in height. There has been nothing spotted that is taller than 80 feet.

It has only been put into effect recently, so there are only a few monsters from which to choose. They are:

H - Bovus
M - Minos
S - Goblins 1 2 3
H - Slith-kin 1
H - Imp

There's always room for more. Wanna see another creature in The Pit? Go out there and capture it! Capturing a new monster will get you a little bit of bonus gold... as a bit of incentive!

Currently, The Pit can only house creatures that are up to size M. This can be upgraded to L then G once enough is earned for this.

Never/Dislike Ending up as monster jiggle during a fritz with the reformation chamber will prevent immediate reformation. With that, it is sort of like a temp-perma. If someone weren't with the guild, however, the chambers aren't open to them. Ending up as jiggle then would be quite permanent...

A delighted "moo" could be heard after all the gulping and glucking ceases as well as the churning of a newly stretched out stomach.</i>
