Though still in highschool, Monica Lauper has already become an environmental activist via the power of globalization and the internet. A frequenter of blogs and protests alike, Monica maintains ties with a number of organisations. Outspoken and opinionated, Monica's sense of self-worth is based on the good she feels she does in the world. Unlike most girls her age, she spends her evenings researching on the excesses of corporations and her weekends carrying picket signs. But as good as all that is, it's simply not enough for Monica, whom feels that the corrupt rich need to be taken down hard and fast.
So she also became a 'hacktivist'.
At first it wasn't anything particularly illegal, mostly she just joined in various Anon raids against large, faceless corporations in various DOS attacks. But then she started to help organize them. And then she started taking her laptop places because she learned how to use the Heartbleed virus to exploit a local network. She used her spy games to dig up dirt on large corporations, conducting smear campaigns on the internet with the evidence she'd find. It was an absolute thrill and Monica felt like she was doing some genuine good in the world by holding the rich and isolated to account for their actions.
And that is when she found something she shouldn't have. Something exceptionally incriminating that could potentially bring down a massive, multi-billion dollar corporation. What she's found isn't damaging, it is catastrophic. This goes beyond corruption and into full-blown conspiracy. There are old white men that will kill to protect what she has found.
Now, Monica is on the run, hunted by assassins. Their orders are simple. Find the girl, destroy her laptop, and erase
all witnesses to the data. The corporate masters don't want Monica to die... they want her to
disappear. And so a 'specialist' has been called in...
