Monday

Hhhhh.... delicious...

Well, we can't help the way we're made, or what's made a part of us. Monday, here, certainly couldn't help the way the mad sorcerer made her. A bit of chaos god essence is never a good thing, now is it? Pity for the sorcerer that he didn't figure this out before he was her first meal.

Monday, here, is a Golem. She was made from flesh and metal and rock, imbued with the elements, to be a warrior, a champion for the one who made her. Unfortunately for him, one of the rocks he used, pulsing with a powerful magical essence, was in fact a prison for a shard of a powerful chaotic entity. It was the main reason his spell was such a success, and is now the main source of Monday's abilities, as well as her temperament. And it consumed her creator's soul, as he tried to celebrate with his creation, sparking true life in the golem as she absorbed his soul.

She, though, is perhaps a bit misleading. Monday is a chaotic entity, after all. Her body is as fluid as she wishes it to be, more powerful than anyone would suspect without magical abilities, and more durable than even she suspects. Bits of gods don't die as long as their original owner is still alive out there, somewhere. Gods, as it were, are like cosmically powerful cockroaches. You can try, but you won't ever really kill them. The only way to really end a god would be to consume its essence, and only another god, or Power, could ever hope to do that...

So, really, it's only pretty damned powerful entities that Monday really has to fear. Not that she would. She's pretty incapable of feeling fear, due to the way she was made. The golem is insane, in some respects, even. Intelligent, calculating, ruthless, and cruel, she's a splendid warrior, and a capable fighter. At the same time, though, her chaotic nature sometimes causes her to show an entirely different side of herself, a kinder, gentler side. It's impossible to really say which is the real Monday.... perhaps both are, perhaps neither is. Chaos gods make things so complicated....

There are a few known details about Monday, though. For one.... magic has a lesser effect on her, or no effect. Her body was made using elemental magic, imbued with chaotic elements. Nothing works as expected. On the plus side, this keeps her from ever using active magic. She'd never be able to predict the effects, whatever spell she cast. This doesn't stop her from trying, from time to time, though, just to laugh at whatever happens. One time, she made a bard's pants turn into flowers! As well, she can apparently change her body into any shape she wishes, even a puddle, though she tends to keep to the form shown in her profile image.

The same chaotic essence that grants her this protection, though, has some drawbacks. The god fragment used to make her hungers. It thirsts. It longs to consume blood, souls, and flesh, and it will compel its vessel to do this on its behalf. That essence can't take it ALL, but it tries. What leaks through contributes to the golem's power, as well, so it's all good, in her mind. And it's not ALL bad. As long as she feeds regularly enough, on blood, souls, or flesh, she remains in control. Either way, the problem gets solved, though, so she's perfectly happy with either one. The latter is easier than the former, though, so she tends to go looking for bandits, and people no one will miss.

Of course, there's always more than meets the eye... but Monday herself doesn't know enough about herself. She's just frolicking through life, really, leaving a trail of bloodless corpses(if any corpses) in her wake, doing what, and who, she pleases.

Random, predominantly cruel predator, made to endure heavy punishment by those stronger than her and deal it out to those weaker than her. Nasty, nasty, nasty golem thing.

Not the most coherent of profiles, but I wrote it in the wee hours of the morning. I may replace it, I may not.

It seems that the odd little golem can be easily placated by sweets... or at least, things she interprets as sweet. Magical trinkets seem to work nicely.
