.... so what about one with only one tail?
Meet Moki. He's a one-tailed kitsune. That means, as Kitsune go, that he's the bottom of the totem pole. He's got next to now power(but not NO power, you will note), gets no respect, and, well, has no responsibilities beyond taking care of himself. His is the burden of complete lack of responsibility for anything but himself... though his mother does drop by, from time to time, and make sure he's doing alright.
He is, of course. After all, he IS a kitsune. His mother makes sure that he's fine, if the worst should happen(any any number of women have dubbed him cute enough to eat, even if only one or two have actually acted upon that). Most of the time, though, HE is the one doing the eating! After all, he's a growing kitsune, and he needs lots of nutrients and energy to keep on growing! ... even if it will take him hundreds of years to become anything like a threat to anyone who's prepared for him. Still, he's working on it!
For now, though, he's just a kid. A kid who happens to have soft, silky ears, and a similarly soft, silky tail, and soft, silky hair, though that's nowhere near as long as his tail. More on that later. Disregarding his inhuman features(and he CAN hide them), he looks almost like any other child. He stands at four feet tall, with light skin that's entirely unblemished. Thankfully, he won't be a 'teenager' for hundreds of years, but hopefully, he won't have to deal with zits for the hundreds of years that he spends as a teenager! Anyway, moving on, his eyes are a dark, clear green color, his hair and fur are silvery, and his grin, when he shows it, is fanged. Typically, he's clad in a yukata, and completely shoeless. He may not know what shoes ARE, even...
Still, his tail deserves some special mention. After all, it is a defining characteristic of him, and, well, tends to get a fair bit of attention. First and foremost... it's HUGE. It's bigger than he is, if he isn't actively managing it, with a total length of four and a half feet long! Thick, silky, and fluffy, one could get lost in it... and indeed, a few people have, briefly, when they decided to see if they could. At times, it seems to have a mind of its own. For Moki, it serves as a pillow, a blanket, and a hiding place, all in one, while also being a good way to store things he wants to take along. His mother says it's his best feature, but that's a matter of opinion.
And there he is, in a nutshell. Cute little shotasune.... surely not dangerous at ALL, right?
