Miyu Lynx
It had been awhile since Andross's last appearance, and the galaxy seemed peaceful...for the most part. A new band of Mercs has emerged, piloting
black 'Interceptor' class Ar-wings. These black and orange streaks used cloaking technology taken from Oikonny's Stealth Squadrons. The squadron is comprised mostly of felines, thus their not-far-off squadron name...'Prowler Team'.
At first, Starfox, Crimson Fox, and Starwolf seemed a bit...cautious...and rightfully so. Though that changed when the ape that was Andross decided to show his ugly face again.
He came back with enough force, that the three teams had to unite to survive....little did they know...that they were being watched.
There came a breaking point, when it seemed that the good guys were finally on the loosing side...before an interceptor came out of cloaking behind Andross, and cut into his back with a bright red laser beam. A continuous blast, not a pulse weapon like the other teams used.
A hole had been opened in the ape's back with surgical precision, and a bomb was sent into him likewise...causing a rather...grotesque, yet fitting end for the bastard...for now.
With their leader down for the count, Andross's forces fled, leaving the galaxy once again in uneasy peace.
Wolf's wingman, Panther....took to calling the woman he'd seen in the cockpit of that plane, 'Haraya', a derivative of the Syrian word 'Harayn'...or 'Shadow'.
Time and time again, those black planes seemed to pop up, for years since that first event. Most times just observing...though one day, all four showed...along with a large, black flagship that uncloaked behind them.
Pirates? No...couldn't be. If they were enemy, they'd have attacked by now.
This...'first contact' established a truce between the Mercs, though the alliance seemed stronger with Starfox and Crimson Fox than with Starwolf. Wolf's reasoning is still unknown. Perhaps he's just uncomfortable working with people that might be shadier than himself...

Miyu is a tomboyish, anthropomorphic lynx who, along with Fay, was to appear in the cancelled Star Fox 2 title for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Because her only appearance was in an unreleased game, she is not considered canon to the rest of the series.
As with Fay, Miyu pilots a faster Arwing model type called the Interceptor, which lacks in hull armor compared to the other Arwing models. However, an upgrade found later in the game could make up for this loss of defense.
No official artwork of Miyu was ever released.
Trivia
Given that so many elements of Star Fox 2 were carried over to Star Fox 64 (such as the Star Wolf team) it could be considered that Katt Monroe, an ally of Star Fox who was also a cat, may have been Miyu's replacement.
