Mitori doesn't exist.
At least, that is what everyone makes her out to be. A Myth, a fake, a legend that the kappa have whispered about for many a year since nitori had first joined the village.
It was said that Nitori had a sister, well..a half sister. An interesting half-sister that was born with an amazing power...the power to forbid...to deny....to refuse and to stop....a sister that, because of her power, was feared by even the kyouki....and when the kyouki fears something, the hakurei eliminates it....so, it was said that mitori's mother brought her somewhere that noone could ever find her.....though the kyoukai completely denies mitori even exists.
But she does....
and those that do know of her existence were forbidden, by mitori, to even mention her to any that may cause her harm....or tell nitori...for years and years....that is, till she was found out by someone she could not easily forbid...
...but that is a tale for another time.
Personality
A blush for every occasion
Being a kappa, Mitori has a natural disposition toward shyness and she is extremely easy to make her blush for almost any reason. She isn't actually shy, she simply reacts in a very shy manner.
Her true personality is almost the opposite. Though she does veil herself to secrecy, and does not trust easily, she has a naturally curious and outgoing personality, enjoying time with the friends she has, and should she make a new friend, she tries to learn everything about them as much as she can. She also does not have the same discrimination that most kappa have, as she does not fear Oni or humans in any way.
Battle abilities
Flight: Like most gensokyians, she can easily fly.
Polearm weapon mastery: Oddly enough she is a master of a long pole weapon, though her signature weapon is of an odd sort, being a street sign stolen from the outside world....yes, a no entry sign.
Forbidden: due to her special ability, one cannot cast magic or use natural abilites against her, they forced to either abide by spell card rules, or fight melee.

Both Mitori and Nitori have the same father, but not the same mother.
The "prohibited" sign on her back represents a kappa's shell, as well as her power to forbid anything.
Because Nitori has a golden key on her chest and Mitori a golden lock, it's speculated that Nitori could possibly nullify Mitori's powers.
