Selene's story is an old one, starting in the Middle Ages when wars were fought with blades, bows, armors and spears. Selene was originally just a normal human whose family held a very dark and important secret which had a huge impact on vampires and werewolves and had the chance to change all life on Earth. The secret eventually was the reason which caused Selene to become a vampire. For centuries Selene was a deathdealer, the most feared and skilled vampiresoldier an enforcer for her clan, who fought the war against werewolves in the front lines. The war which actually had started because of love and tyranny.

Selene never questioned her superriors and actually lived in a lie for centuries. She did not know why she had been turned into a vampire and why her real family had been killed. The werewolves were blamed to keep Selene's hate towards them fresh and her as skilled and brutal enforcer as possible. The war went on for centuries and the present time arrived but Selene began to question the motives for the war and wanted to learn more about her past. She had been just a little girl when she had been turned and the stories she had been told clearly did not fill the blank spots in her memories nor answered the questions she had.

Eventually Selene learned she had been lied to the whole time. She learned her family had not been killed by the werewolves as she had been told but because of the secret her parents knew. Selene had been turned because she was very much like the daughter the strongest vampire of that time had once had. Selene was adopted in a way because of this and made the deathdealer the lost daughter ought to be. Selene eventually found out the truth about her past which led her into a fight against the two olderst vampires of their clan, for revenge and survival. Selene managed to slay them both and in the process Selene met the ancestor of all vampires and werewolves, the first immortal ever lived. Selene received a gift from him as through the blood she fed from him Selene became a true immortal also, receiving immunities against all weaknesses common vampires have and became physically more powerful, stronger and agile than any other living vampire or werewolf. Before passing away the ancestor and first real immortal, Alexander Corvinus, stated Selene is the future.

That gift and real immortality she received did not solve Selene's problems however. Old grudges die hard as they say and so Selene is still commonly hated among vampires because of the deaths of the two leading vampires and among werewolves because of their eternal hate and grudge against vampires. So Selene's current life is full of survival and attempt to end the destructive conflict between the two races. Recently also humans found out the two races actually exist and declared a war against them both.

The conflict was a long one which almost destroyed the whole vampire species. The strenghtened werewolves and humans attacked from several fronts which made the life of the vampires much more difficult. The conflict lasted for years and there were traitors and secret agents on every side. Selene at first tried to pull herself away from the war that she had fought for centuries but the war did not want to let her go and thus she was forced to fight and take a pivotal role in the last and decisive battle. The vampires managed to take down the leader of the werewolves and at the same time destroy the traitors who had managed to infiltrate their ranks but the victory was a very costly one as only two vampire sanctuaries and groups remained after the werewolves were beaten. Selene was elected to be one of the three high council members after the conflict and her current objective is to rule and try to preserve peace and avoid future large conflicts so the vampire community could heal and grow again. Even though the conflict between the werewolves and humans was costly and demanding it made the surviving vampires stronger. Selene gained new powers during that time from which the most notable is her current skill to unmaterialize for a brief moments and move around short distances like mist.

Selene has possessed an old mansion near a big city long belonged to vampires and now has a residence there. Although the mansion is only short journey away from the city few people still know what lies in the dark mansion. Some have come to investigate but noone has been able to return back from the mansion. The mansion is a dark, moist and cold place full of traps and surprises Selene uses to her advantage if some uninvited guest enters. As the mansion is a quite big place and Selene really likes company she has a constant desire and hunt for servants and friends. She has been known even to turn some of her closest servants and friends into vampires after they have showed their value to her. The vampires turned by her do not automatically possess the immunities she has or the power she wields but they have a chance to become stronger and gain those immunities over time which usually takes atleast some decades.

Selene prefers to stay away from sight and hunt from the shadows, stalking and luring her preys and victims into traps. She is almost always cautious and careful because her most dangerous adversaries, the lycans which are also knows as werewolves, have recently regained their numbers in secret also letting normal humans to know vampires and werewolves actually exist and are living amongst the humans. This have made some humans to befriend with Selene and vampires, some with werewolves and turned most humans against these non-human species. So there is a nearly constant battle going on eventhough Selene would only want to live in peace with her family.

Selene's hunger for blood and servants sometimes takes her into difficult situations. She is more powerful, more agile and faster than any other vampire and can easily outmanouver any human or human-like being. Although bigger sentients with tails, appendages, tentacles and poison can outmanouver her making her the prey. Nagas, tentacled creatures, spiders and much bigger creatures can best her. Selene's pred/prey status depends highly on the counterpart she is playing with.

Sex? Sex is a very powerful tool! Sex, seduction, hypnosis and mind control are some of the main attributes she uses to lure her prey to her and have some fun with it. Although her hunger for sex can also lead her into danger if she meets a seductive naga, spider or tentacled creature! She also is very familiar with guns, espescially pistols, shotguns and rifles which she can use to protect herself. She also has razorsharp claws in her hands which she uses quite often as every vampire does.

Selene is usually dressed into a latex costume shown on the picture. As she heads out from her mansion she usually wears also a long leather jacket which she is able to use to glide through air after jumping high and surprise her prey from above if she wanted. Selene's powers come from her blood which now has been mixtured with the blood of a true immortal thanks to Alexander Corvinus. This makes Selene immune against the common weaknesses vampires usually have like sunlight, silver, garlic etc. She also now is stronger, more durable, agile and swift than a common vampire.

Yes, this character is a fan based one on the Selene found in Underworld movies portrayed by Kate Beckinsale and her backstory is based on the movies. All credits for the outlook for the character go to the actress. If you have problems with fan characters, please move along as I can't help you with them. The scenes played with Selene don't need to be placed in Underworld-universe either. I'm always interrested in new ideas for scenes with a decent plot and backstory so please come and whisper, but keep in mind Selene isn't for quick grab and gulp scenes!
