Mint Leaf is at
Permavore_Risk... and you'd probably be doing the world a favor.
Lantern sprites are small fey tricksters that would be universally reviled if it weren't for the supernatural compulsion of their race to help those that are in need. However, the aid that they give you might not always be the aid that you want. Humans find the pesky little things to be an endless source of frustration, dwarves consider them vermin, and even the elves tolerate their company more then enjoy it. Lantern sprites are so named for the lanterns that they carry; it's said but not proven that the ghostly flame flickering inside the glass cage is actually the sprite's soul and so long as it burns, she can not die. Whatever the case, the tiny sprites use their lanterns to help those that have lost their way in the forest to find a safe path back. Unless they're feeling mischievous.
Mint Leaf is a particularly obnoxious breed of lantern sprite... one that enjoys the company of the bigger people and actively seeks to help them. One would think that this would endear her to the larger folk. But one would be wrong. This is because Mint Leaf's idea of 'helping' people is very different then other people's definition of 'being helped'. You see, Mint Leaf finds her pranks to be absolutely hilarious and doesn't understand that other people might not find them as hilarious as she. And so Mint Leaf has a habit of 'marking' others, trailing along with them for extended periods and playing little pranks on them on the sly to help spread laughter around. She loves people very much and really, really wants them to be happy.
But fey are not human and have an alien mindset, as similar as they may seem sometimes. Mint Leaf has lead people into quicksand pits, into the vines of carnivorous plants, and past the lairs of ravenous beasts without a second thought or pang of conscious. Death has no sting for an immortal fey and consequentially, Mint Leaf has no comprehension of it or the deeper implications of its meanings. Actually, she mostly finds it to be
friggin' hilarious, hence the rub.
While big folk in true need can often find lantern sprites to be more reliable then not, Mint Leaf should never be trusted because she is wholly arbitrary in her 'malice'. She is equally likely to lead a traveler astray as she is to guide them safely. It is this fifty-fifty, whim based mentality that makes her so dangerous.
Mint Leaf is, other then her obvious shortcomings, a friendly enough person to be around. She favors loud, flamboyant clothing that matches (and occasionally clashes) with her butterfly wings. She is playful, flirty, and above all loves to talk. Her ability to ask people questions is matched only by her ability to be irritating. Still, she has that fey innocence about her, and is, ultimately, just a tiny little lantern sprite in a very large (and often hostile) world.
