The kind of Gentle Giant

Meet Miki, or rather look up at Miki. She is the elder sister of Lycia_Yugure and the younger sister to Mitsumi_Yugure, that makes her the middle child! Just like her sisters Miki is a Kitsune, she looks after shrines and does her best to make sure no one is breaking rules and all the bad spirits remain sleeping and don't wreck havoc over the land. When she isn't just staring at the shrine she tends to walk the grounds to make sure no one is trying to break in either. You would be surprised how many people walk the sacred grounds and try to get a taste of that forbidden power that sleeps dormant! When it came to magic Miki seemed to be lacking in the department, she was more of a fighter than anything. She preferred kicking someone in the face or punching them in the gut then setting them on fire. Sure she knows a bit of magic, but it's not her main way of fighting. Though when it comes to magic there is one specific skill she has mastered, and that is the ability to change her height.

Just as her sisters Miki was bounced from shrine to shrine, but it wasn't for the same reasons her sisters were. Miki was typically sent to shrines that had a high traffic of vandalism and theft, it was her job to scare people off and dispose of them if necessary. Though she didn't like actually killing people sometimes it had to come down to that. Her elder sister made it very clear that killing humans and lesser yokai that came to bring harm to the shrine were to be killed. And that is when Miki had to get creative. For the most part she was not. She would give the person a pat on the head, maybe a little slap on the rump and tell them to never come back. But this was not good enough for her family. They wanted results. They told Miki to dispose, to kill. Heck she was a giant, there was a million ways she could kill someone!

Miki was told by her family to crush them under foot, chew them up between her teeth, or even just give them a rather large punch. Anything that would end their lives. Of course her older sister didn't think that was good enough. She told Miki to tease them, humiliate them, degrade them, and to talk down to them. Make them think Miki was a Goddess to be worshiped. Of course when this started she was rather bad at it, and she even felt a little bad for killing people. But as time went on she grew more and more accustomed to it. Eventually it became second nature. Though this is not to say she is always looking to kill. For the most part she does whatever she can to not kill the person. Most of the time she just teases them a bit and eventually sends them on her way. There have been times she thought certain people were cute and she toys with them in a rather flirting way. It's safe to say sometimes people just get lost and stumble upon the shrine. Not everyone is out to do harm to it.

More a Tease then a Tormentor

As her family stated she is to use her rather unique gift to scare away troublemakers and end them if necessary. But it's not all about work. Of course Miki slacks off from time to time, though it's not in the typical way. She doesn't spend her time sleeping in trees, or sweeping up the area around the shrine. Instead she likes to venture into the nearest human town and take in the sites. She has two ways of doing this, she either simply shrinks herself down to a more normal human size, or simply makes herself invisible as she looks out upon the town below her. There have a been few times though the townspeople have gotten site of her and rumors began spreading saying that the a Giant was lurking in the woods. Of course Miki is partly to blame for these rumors, since she doesn't do anything to stop them...and she may even help start them.

She tends to adore when people seem to search for her like they are on some sort of ghost hunt. And Miki always lets herself get found in the most dramatic way possible. By simply holding a foot above them as they walk by, or opening her mouth nice and wide as she hides on the other side of a cave.

Though she is doing nothing more than teasing, though the people don't know that.

After she has had her fun with them she typically sends them running, laughing as she watches the small people running for their lives through the woods.

A home within the Grave_Yard

After what seemed to be years of this Miki was getting sick of being moved from place to place. Sure she loved seeing all sorts of new people, and she even started relationships with a few of them, but in the end she had to say goodbye. She was tired of not having a home. Unsure what to do she went to speak with her sisters. It didn't too long to convince both her sisters to allow her to stay with them. It seemed the shrine they were protecting now had all sorts of traffic, some good, some bad. But it now needed more protecting than ever. And just like that Miki had a new home and hid out among the woods that surrounded the area, and just like that another rumor was started....people stating a giant fox girl lived in the woods.
