Michelle is at Permavore_Risk!

Michelle was a starving artist, whose landscape paintings were often called 'technically sound, but otherwise unimaginative'. She was struggling her way through college, just barely making ends meet, when she stumbled across a funny little man that asked her what she would do in order for her paintings to sell. She said 'practically anything', and so he asked her if she would give a snip of her hair. Without thinking, she said 'yeah, sure'. The funny little man declared the bargain made and before an explanation could be given, he took a scissors to her hair and then vanished before her eyes. Michelle, though shocked, soon put the matter behind her and thought of it no more.

It was quite by accident a month later that her roommate fell into one of her paintings.

Not fell through it, mind you, as a person would expect to, but rather into the painted landscape, becoming trapped inside of it. Michelle was, understandably, horrified and ran from the room in a panic. When she returned, hours later, there was her roommate Jenny, still trapped in the painted, now unmoving, frozen in time forever. She didn't know what to do, so she took the painting down to the storage room. The painting, however, was noticed on the way there and a price was offered for it. A very... attractive price.

Now, Michelle has dropped out of school because she's gained her own gallery. People are attracted to her paintings, which often juxtapose beautiful scenes with people locked in the thralls of fear or sadness. And they've started fetching quite a high price. Michelle has become accustomed to society life in the meantime (and has been noted for her rather... 'loud'... fashion sense). Some have noticed that her drinking is starting to become rather heavy, as well.

Her burgeoning alcoholism is just one of the ways that Michelle copes with the fact that people occasionally go missing in the vicinity of her gallery. She tells herself that they deserve what happened to them, she lies to herself and says that she deserves the fine things that her newfound fame and wealth have afforded her. But sometimes, in the dark of the night and despite an alcohol induced haze, Michelle remembers that funny little man that asked her what she would do for fame and fortune. In those times, she feels truly repentant, because she worries that one day karma will catch up with her. It remains to be seen, however, if karma will catch up with her and if she really, as she fears in her most private moments, made a deal with the Devil himself.
