Introduction
Merlene is what is often refered to as merfolk. A catch all term for humanoids that have strong ties to the sea and live in it. Because she was orphaned too young to remember her parents, her complete identity remains a mystery to her. However how little she knows about herself, she hardly seems to care about it, prefering to live in the moment for herself. While Merlene is quite young, she often feels like the more mature amongst her peers. This is because her attitude towards situations often seems to be analytical foremost and wondrous later. Meaning that the young merwoman tends to take everything more seriously than she should sometimes. Merlene used to approach new experiences and new people with a certain degree of anxiousness that revealed a lot about her once timid character. However, she has grown since and is now more assertive on her environment and those around her, a product of CarmenMarilla taking her under her wing. Her distrust of other sea creatures seems to have been slowly eroded thanks to various friends' she's made lately. She will mostly be a pleasant person to be around, cheerful, peppy and cute. When she's hunting or when she's trying to have a good time, she can turn flirtatious and very teasing. If someone messes with her, her mood and vibe tends to become very driven and aggressive, especially if angered. Her hunger fits are also noteworthy, sometimes, she simply want to eat something and won't stop until she gets it. Merlene has a talent for magic, and only recently started the process of learning more about what exactly she can do. While she keeps herself in good health and has a surprising amount of stamina, she isn't necessarily strong either. She may overpower regular people with great effort, but if it comes down to it, she tends to know which battles she can pick and which should be avoided. Whenever she is cornered, she can become desperately aggressive and angry. However, if she has the upper hand, she tends not to let anything slip.

	Prey	Merlene used to be a prey leaning alt, but now, I think it's fair to say that she's grown to be a fairly voracious character in her own right... Still, she gets the table turned on her here and there, and given enough motivation, she may even go down willingly (although she'll have a hard time admitting it).
	Pred	She's my prey alt, and everyone keeps asking for her to pred. So from now on I'm just no longer predding with Merlene again.
	Switch	Merlene fits very well in the type of roleplays with no determined outcomes, although she's grown to be a proficient predator. Try at your own perils~
+-	Attitude
	Gentle	I used to dislike gentleness, but after an extremely pleasant roleplay where charm was used I've reviewed my stance on it. Merlene will often try to appear gentle at first, but it's mostly just a ruse. The only ones she'll ever be gentle with are those she trusts and offer themselves willingly.
	Uncaring	As a pred, This is usually how Merlene will be with her food. It depends on the situation. As a prey, I love to see a predator just devour the prey and act like it's just another meal. Barely acknowledging the prey's struggle.
	Sadistic	As a player, I really love it. Cruel predators, teasing, taunting, revelling in feeling their stomach break down their prey. However, this is rarely Merlene's style, unless you really asked for it.
	Willing	Merlene will rarely if ever go down willingly. She's deathly afraid of being devoured. That being said, it is possible to charm her into going in willingly, at least until it's too late. As a pred, Merlene will use seduction and charm to lead preys to their doom. Sometimes, they remained enthralled until the very end.
	Unwilling	Merlene's deathly afraid of being eaten, as a prey she will struggle, she will fight back tooth and nails. As a pred, that is likely how it is going to end for her preys. Merlene doesn't care very much what her food thinks about their rights to remain uneaten.

	Soft Vore	A prey being swallowed whole and alive and struggling inside the stomach as they're being digested alive is what I love most.
	Hard Vore	Although I do love some hard vore from times to times. Either killed while eaten or swallowed down with multiple wounds, I'm fine either ways.
	Digestion	Roleplaying digestion in every minute and gory details is my favorite part of vore. I tend to roleplay digestion very graphically and as said, I tend to make it very bloody, gory and disgusting. If you're not a fan of meat soups, gaping wounds, hair falling off, skin melting off the flesh, exposed bones and such, tell me first. If you need me to, I can work with digestion being more "tame" or even have it implied only. Really I tend to welcome all kind of digestion.
	Endo	While not really my thing, I might see it happening as a way to mess with her or her messing with unruly friends. Can be used as teasing, as humiliation or just for fun depending on the right person. She's unlikely to do it as a pred, unless it's a good friend.
	Fatality	Being devoured and digested alive usually results in death. I like death to be final but I'm also fine if it's not. As for PERMAVORE, I'm fine with it as a predator but I prefer to view my roleplay sessions as self-contained stories (unless we're speaking of long term roleplay). I won't allow Merlene to be permavored.
	Reviving	I'm usually not much of a fan of reforming / revival. I'd prefer if it would happen outside of a roleplay session if it has to happen. Although it can be funny to continuously toy with the same prey. And seeing as Merlene does come back after a while, it'd be hypocritical to be against it 100%. Of course, anything is up for discussion and I will accomodate your preferences to some degree.
	Disposal	OPTIONAL Disposal is my second favorite part of vore, simply for the sheer humiliation factor that's inherent to it. I love every single bit of it. Speaking of disposal, it can include many things, like belching out clothes and such. Of course, disposal also includes scat and/or peeing (basically any form of waste the prey might have turned into). I'm fine with or without bones / with or without clothes although I tend to prefer bits of clothes or accessories left if they were ingested with the prey.
	Overwhelming Predator	I love hopelessness. Overwhelming predators when done right can be so satisfying when they're toying with their preys. There is something absolutely great about a powerful predator putting a would be lesser predator into their place.
	Difficult Hunt	But a predator that struggles or is on a similar power scale as the prey is also great. It makes the victory and the ensuing devouring that much more satisfying.
	Giving Up	Of course if the prey is already caught or it's impossible, then I don't really mind, but if the prey gives up without any resistance, it's kind of boring... This is the same reason I don't like willing preys. They should fight as if their life is on the line... it is.
+-	Scope
	Same Size	I love same size vore. The feeling of having a huge belly filled with one or many adult sized persons is so satisfying. The feeling of fullness. A sated pred with a huge gut resting as they're digesting the people inside is absolutely lovely to me. Though for same size vore, I prefer there to be limits on how many preys one can take in. Usually 3 to 4 adults, 5 at most. Any more and it starts to become silly to me.
	Micro/Macro	But I do love micro/macro play just as much. A giant predator makes the prey so insignificant. The scale of things is so fun to roleplay. Toying with preys become so easy and fun. This also allows for mass preys scenarios and all kind of new ways to taunt and mess with preys. Digestion scenes as well as disposal scenes can become oh so messed up! I ab-so-lu-te-ly love it!
	One on One	One on one scenarios are simple and a classic. They're usually what I do and I love them. Sometimes it's great to focus on few characters. The quality is often better.
	Multi Prey/Pred	Although it is difficult, when it's done with 2 great roleplayers (or more) it can be such a GREAT thing! A lot of the best roleplays I've ever had included multiple preys or pred. I've also had cooperative roleplays (both players are pred with one taking care of preys) as well and they worked really great.
+-	Vore Types
	Oral Vore	A classic and a favorite. The act of tasting, tongue play, etc. It's simply the best for me.
	Anal Vore	I haven't tried it a lot, but whenever I did it was great. Very humiliating. Absolutely love it~
	Unbirth	I don't really have an issue with it. But it doesn't interest me much. I don't like rebirth scenarios.
	Cock Vore	I don't like it. I'm not against it, I don't hate it, I can read it but I simply can't roleplay it.
	Vampiric Vore	Merlene is incapable of vampiric vore. But as a prey, vampiric vore is simply delightful.
	Soul Vore	I realize that soul vore means different things to different people. Usually it boils down to consuming souls. As basically as that, I love it! Wether it's just implying the soul is eaten, or roleplaying the soul in whatever shape it's in being eaten as if it was physical, I'm probably going to be fine with it. If you're not sure, just talk to me! However, there's an aspect of soul vore which I don't like: tying the prey's consciousness to something (having the victim live within a body part or within disposal, etc.)
	Unconventional vore	It depends on what it is. I might be open to some: Breasts Vore : I don't like it. Tail Vore : No preferences for or against it. Absorption : Like a blob or a slime, I'm fine with it. Could be quite interesting actually. Trap Vore : Vore through trap or illusion. Like transforming into something like mist and then gathering around the prey to trap them inside as they transform back. It's pretty neat. Vore through teleportation : Maybe a little too quick to my liking. External Vore : Vore where the predator can digest preys that are outside or drain them of their nutriments. I don't really know how to feel about it.
+-	Extra
	Sex	Being sexual or lewd is fine. But I'm not into having sex randomly, if I want to, you'll know. Don't complain about it, I do this to avoid roleplayers who are aiming only for this. I don't like playing with people who suddenly mysteriously go AFK after a semi-sexual scene or a part of vore I assume they get off to. Sexplay is entirely mood dependant.
	Magic	While I love magic and that it opens tons of possibilities, I'm quite fine without it too. Of course, Merlene is a sea witch, so magic is bound to happen.
	Food	I'm fine with including regular food. Candies, meat, vegetables, seasoning, cakes, etc. The idea of a predator eating or drinking something while they have a prey in their stomach is cruel and humiliating which is always great for me.
	Pain	As a pred, I usually go for gruesome and painful digestion for the prey. But I can do it painless. Merlene is very capable of doing both extremes. As a prey, I'm fine with it being painful or painless.
	Blood	It's bound to happen when skin is melting off your flesh. I love gore and I love blood. But of course I can do without.
	Scat	Love it with post-vore disposal. It's just a very good way to finish up a scene. Using it for humiliation, degradation or to defile is great. No playing with it, however. If it's part of anal vore it's fine with me. I'm not much of a fan of farting and won't do it as a predator. As a prey, I can handle some of it.
	Watersport	I like it with post-vore disposal, as in relieving one-self from liquid waste. In other contexts, I'm fine with it.
	Hyper	Hyper can be anything done in excess. When it comes to body proportion I do not like it. Giant breasts, giant dicks, giant asses... I don't mind them being a bit oversized but anything that's cartoonish and beyond just doesn't do it for me to put it mildly.
	Other	There's no reason not to ask. But if it's not on there, it's likely something I'm not particularly fond of. Additionally, please be warned that I don't like players who have an obvious particular fetish and constantly push for it.
+-	Partner: Sex and Gender
	Male	With male characters I go case by case. If you feel like it's unfair, well it's just because my experience with male characters ain't too great. If I open your profile and I'm greeted with huge genitals I'm closing it immediately.
	Female	I'm always comfortable roleplaying with female characters, I've consistently had good experience with them.
	Herm	I have a complicated relationship with Herm partners. The big issue I have with them is that they tend to be intensely sexual. Opening a Herm profile, I'm often greeted with oversized genitals and breats. I'm not a fan of this, as a matter of fact I hate it. This is the same complain I have about some male profiles. I'm avoiding hyper-sexual characters. If you don't fall within this category, fell free to talk to me.
	Transgender	I'm fine with transgender characters.

	Human	Humans are underrated. Simple and great!
	Demi	Demis are awesome. Demons, Angels, Youkais, Nekos, Kitsune, Ogres, etc. I love them all~
	Fur	Furries are fine!
	Scaly	If nagas got me into vore, they are certainly welcome. They're adorable~
	Feathered	Harpies, winged demis, etc. All great!
	Fishies	Merfolks like me or mermaids, octopus demis, squid demis, etc... YES! YES ALL THE WAY! It's within Merlene's theme to be afraid of being eaten by sea creatures. Roleplaying that would be oh so fantastic~
	Taurs	Eh... they're alright but... just not really my thing.
	Animal	The completely non-humnan. I go on case by case basis with them. But if I'm to be frank, I'm not too interested.
	Fantastic creatures	Depends on the creature, but I quite like them. This includes dragons, demons (non-humanoid), slimes, plants, etc. This is case by case.
+-	Partner: Other
	Underage	I will roleplay with underage characters if they are in the background and not the main focus. I will roleplay with underage characters of roleplayers I trust will handle them correctly. I will not roleplay with underage characters in any settings that are remotely close to be sexual and involving them. If a character looks really young but is stated to be physically and mentally an adult and it is believable, I will not consider them underage. Assuming that all of those checkbox are checked, I'm fine with playing with your character a 100%!
+-	ROLEPLAY PREFERENCES
	English Mastery	MANDATORY I'm sorry, I simply cannot deal with people who can barely write in English anymore. I can't deal with players who use the word "as" every tenth keystroke. I'm going to require at the very least decent writing and I'm going to look at your profile for proof.
	Detail	MANDATORY in private roleplay I usually write at least 5-6 lines per post with details and I take care to avoid repetition. I make sure to make as little mistakes as I can, but I can forgive those obviously, so long as it's clearly understandable. I'm just saying that I have quality standards, and I expect my partner to have standards as well. Because I like details a lot, I'm not much of a fan of onomatopoeias.
	Concise Posting	Accepted in public The chat moves quickly in public. I have much more loose standards there and I will do my best to adapt. If I roleplay in private with you, post a 6 line paragraph filled with details and your replied 2 measly lines, I'll consider it a slap to my face.
	Multi-Session	I love long roleplay, and since I write a lot, some sessions can easily take several days to complete. So this is obvious to me.
	Quick Roleplay	Quick games are much easier to do in public where I don't care as much with details. Sometimes I'll make an exception for private roleplays.
	Storyline	I'm fine with doing storylines with other character and developping growing relationships with others or even becoming an important character for them. However I don't like families changing, people being rebirth and having twenty parents or children.
	In Character Approach	If I have a "open for approach" or I'm in the public chat then by all means, go ahead. Start small. Make sure to introduce yourself first though and try and be respectful with your approach. Especially if it's your first time interacting with me. It bears repeating that your character sexually assaulting mine isn't a good way to start things of and unfurtunately there's a reason why I'm now forced to mention this... I will try and show the same courtesy that I'm shown. Otherwise I'd prefer not to be approached in character. Thank you very much.
	Out of Character Discussions	I'm quite fine with them.

I tend to work using third person and present/past tense. I'm not really a fan of first person and second person writing, I find it very distracting.
Roleplay Setting : World Building
Merlene is from a urban fantasy setting. The fantasy element includes non-human societies as well as magic and supernatural elements being commonplace. Societies in this setting allow the cohabitation of supernatural entities that feed on weaker elements to varying degrees, some places ban predators while other places have very unfair laws regarding "preys". Using "prey" is often refered as a slur against those that are lower on the food chain. This atmosphere creates a lot of tension. That's my setting, but I'm fine with using yours.

Story WIP(Contains: F/multiple, unwilling preys, cruel predator, child preys, digestion, implied fatality, implied disposal) Merlene is a creature of the sea, she was born in it and orphaned before the completion of the first year of her life. She has no memories of her parents and doesn't know why she was made an orphan. All she was told was that she was found and given to a mermaid who ran a orphanage. She grew up with a dozen of other kids there and was taught every important skills that she would have received from any normal school (writing, reading, counting, maths, etc). Beyond that, those who had aptitude for magic were taught basic water and healing magic, however it was only very basic. The orphonage was on the outskirt of a village deep beneath the waves, positioned on the edge of an oceanic fissure in a forest of corals. Merlene was very proficient with her studies, but wasn't good at making friend. She grew alone, prefering books to company, having only a few friends to talk with, enough that she could count them on the fingers of her hand. Besides, her body was more like those of landwellers than the other kids whom most had tails, webbed appandage or larger fins allowing them to swim much faster than her, often leaving her behind. The kids would usually play all sorts of games such as tag or hide and seek had become a bit more bold one day, deciding to explore down the oceanic fissure despite orders never to go down in it. They were told about all sort of dangers lurking within the abyssal depths, and the darkness bellow. Volcanic vent, toxic water, abyssal sea monsters and such. But when kids want to show how brave they are, those appear to be nothing more than stories sometimes. Well they should have listened to those warnings.

Merlene was one of the kids who didn't want to go down, who were for following the orders of their caretakers. But after being called cowards and babies, some of her friends gave up listening to their senses and agreed to go down. Merlene who didn't want something bad to happen to her friend decided to follow from behind at a safe distance, just in case something happened. After all, Merlene was the only one who had completed her training for healing and she was amongst the more knowledgeable kids. The kids decided to go down the cliffside of the giant fissure. It was something they've talked about before. Despite all the terrible stories, the kids were often mesmerized by the various strange lights showing down there. Sometimes it felt like fireworks while some other times it felt like shimmering gems or those stars they were shown at the surface above the waves. While the kids could not reach the stars up above, those lights were clearly something they could inspect closer. As the group of kids went down the side of the cliff, what was initially scary and mysterious eventually turned mundane and comfortable. It felt like moving through any other parts of the sea they've been used to until now. It was still a long way down. But every passing minutes, those lights felt like they were closer. Eventually they've reached what looked like the bottom of the cliff, but they were surprised that the fissure kept going even further down. They had only reached one step of the cliffside, but they could see one of those lights, shining even more brightly now. At the feet of the cliffside they had arrived at was a small cave within which one of those lights was shining brightly. The kids quickly began to approach it. The closer they got, the shinnier it was, and the harder it was to see anything around it. It was like a small orb of light hovering. Merlene who wasn't sure they should get too close warned them not to approach it, but a lot of the kids had began associating Merlene with being uninteresting and boring. It had become a bit of a thing to avoid agreeing with Merlene for a lot of the kids, so of course, they made fun of her warning and headed inside the cave. Even some of her friends did, and when they did, all hell broke loose.

The shining light hovering was actually the lure of an anglerfish-type mermaid. One who didn't expect to have this kind of visit. She was big! Much bigger than their caretaker who was herself an adult, at least four times as big. Though most of them didn't realize it before it was too late. The light quickly rose to the ceiling of the cave, revealing a gapping mouth wide open behind. The mermaid launched forward, swallowing in a large quantity of water along with a dozen of the kids. It happened in what seemed like an instant. Of the five remaining kids, none were out of their confusion, they couldn't grasp what had just happened which left the anglerfish mermaid some time to swallow down properly the kids still stuck in her mouth and throat. The remaining children watched in horror as the squirming bulge slid down the throat, stopping into the mermaid's abdomen. Immediately after watching this terrifying spectacle, the remaining kids began to scream and ran away. But it was nothing for the intimidating predator who was much bigger than any other mermaid they had ever seen. Merlene was especially frightened, because the four other kids were much faster than she was. Watching them swim ahead of her, made her feel like she wasn't even moving at all. The scenery was so big that she felt like she was stuck in place. She didn't even want to look back, absolutely terrified to see that gaping mouth again. She could see the light of the anglerfish mermaid's lure on her arm growing more intense. When she thought she was going to get eaten as well, she was surprised to see the mermaid swim above her, deciding instead to catch the fastest swimmers first. At this point, swimming upwards would only mean to swim towards her predator, but the cliffside was completely barren, with nothing to hide with. The only place she could have hidden was the cave, but it was an obvious bad choice. Merlene couldn't find a way out of this. This mermaid wasn't especially fast, but she was faster than the other kids, catching them with ease. She watched her grab one of them by the tail, open her mouth and shove it down her throat. Swallow the poor child, down into her distended midsection which was slowly shrinking as they were being pushed further inside of her body, making the pale underside of her tail more swollen. Merlene could only imagine the horror of being stuck within these walls of flesh, soaking in digestive fluids. They had no hope of escape, by tomorrow morning they'd be all...

While she stood there, paralyzed with fear, she watched the three other kids get devoured, the anglerfish mermaid licking her lips as she rubbed her stomach that made a series of ominous noise hinting at the work it was starting to do. Merlene couldn't move a finger, almost feeling like if she didn't move, perhaps that anglerfish mermaid wouldn't see her. She let out a belch, bubbles escaping her mouth but nothing else, then giggled as she looked straight at her last terrified meal. Merlene screamed to leave her alone, but the mermaid only began to tauntingly ask why she should do that. It was at this moment that Merlene understood that what she had in front of her wasn't a mindless monster, but someone who had the same intelligence and language as her. It was the first time Merlene was faced with the reality this predator could be just about anyone. Their caretaker for instance, was big enough to make quick work of her. Besides, that anglerfish mermaid lived only a short distance below the place where they lived. What had prevented her to get up to them and devour them all along? Were the creatures of the depth this terrifying? What else was lurking bellow? Those questions had no answers, Merlene wasn't even sure she wanted to know those answers. Her paralysis had prevented her to flee and now the anglerfish mermaid grabbed her with both hands. It was so tight, there was no way for her to escape now. But because she was the last one, this predator felt like she had a lot of time to spare to toy with her meal. She began by shoving her face right into the soft flesh of her stomach, squishing it against the poor kids struggling within. With her ears stuck to the mermaid's flesh, Merlene began to hear what was going on inside. Screams... oh the screams! The kids she knew, begging for help, begging to be let out, screaming about how painful it was. She even picked up the voice of one of her friend screaming about how she felt like her skin was burning. Finally, Merlene's survival instinct kicked in. She began fighting back for dear life, trying to get out of the predator's tight grip to no avail. The mermaid let out a satisfied laughter at that reaction and brought her closer to her mouth. She explained how delicious the kids were and how she'll enjoy going back to her cave to sleep at the sound of those screams, letting her body do the work and the pleasure she'd feel the next morning when she'd be done with them. After having to hear these cruel words, she saw that dreaded mouth open again, as she was ever so slowly shoved pushed between the lips, feeling the tongue of the mermaid on her face, tasting her as if she was mere food, letting out a moan of delight at the taste. Merlene couldn't fathom that such horrifying and cruel creatures were commonplace within the dark depths of the sea, it wasn't just the mermaid that put the fear into her, but the dark and mysterious depths of the abyss became at this exact moment a large source of fear. If it were not for her desperate caretaker tackling the anglerfish mermaid by swimming right into her, Merlene's story might have ended right there. The moment she was freed from the grip of the predator, Merlene began to swim away as per the orders of the mermaid that took care of her for years before. She didn't have the strength of will to stop or to look back to see what was going on with her, she knew very well that this colossal predator was out-classing her in size clearly. She simply thought of fleeing, strands of saliva still attached to her being washed off as she swam away. After a while she didn't hear anything from the struggle anymore. She couldn't tell who was winning, although her reason was giving her good hints as to the probability of who would win, probabilities that she didn't want to consider or think about. Eventually, there was nothing. She simply kept swimming and eventually reached the orphanage. She get in and hid into the best hiding place she had found through years of hide and seek and waited. And waited... and waited... crying. Her caretaker never came back, her fate becoming obvious after the first night that she spent alone, hidden at the orphanage. Eventually, others from the village came and found the girl, terrified. She had become wary of every adults, of anyone larger than her to be exact.

She was adopted by the mayor of the city, but left her home after a few months. The time it took to find enough information to reach land. Afterall, while she wasn't as fast as the mermaids she lived with underwater, she was quite adapted to live on the surface with her legs. Even living near a lake or a river would be enough for her. Surely the surface would be safer. With her mind made, she left and reached land. She never returned to the sea again, having become deathly afraid of it and all its inhabitants. Her healing magic gave her the ability to work as a healer, giving her a good way to sustain herself financially. She then bought herself a small house near shallow waters and managed to grow up to her current years, having found many hobbies to entertain herself and help her forget the trauma of her past. After all those years, she has mostly managed to overcome her fears and anxiety. But some of it still remains and gets reawakened sometimes whenever she meet other creatures of the sea, especially any kind of mermaids.
