Everyone(or everyone familiar with old movies) is familiar with them.... sinuous forms, armored in black chitin. Eyeless faces... hissing maws. Alien creatures... devilishly clever, sneaky monsters.
Yeah, they're nasty as hell. However, they're also a bit... overt.
This has led to most of them being wiped out wherever they've been found. A systematic campaign against their species, without regard for consequences, driving them into the cosmic dust... destroying them.
Of course, its often very, very hard to completely, utterly destroy something. And the Aliens are very, very good learners.
Meren is a result of their learning. She is a queen, despite her rather odd appearance. She looks very little like most xenomorphs... in fact, she most resemble an elf! Slender, pointed ears... pale, delicate skin.... bright purple eyes... lush, silky white hair. She's got a lithe, girlish build, seeming on the cusp of adulthood. The only thing to mar this illusion is the slender tail emerging from the base of her spine... covered in black chitin, and with a lethally sharp tip, the edges of her tip marked with a barely visible seam. Indeed, her visible armor all seems to have a seam running up the side...
She is not, of course, anything approaching as helpless as she seems. She has the apparently limitless stamina of her species, for one thing, and an eerie elven grace, mingled with the agility of the xenomorphs. Her body is rather heavier than it looks, being comprised of subcutaneous chitin armor and superdense muscle. She weighs a LOT more than she looks like she does, in fact. However, she's got the means to steady herself, as well. Her armor can be extruded, onto the surface, in times of need... such as, for example, when she needs a claw to grab something. And, as you may imagine, she has a pretty incredible grip.
In addition to this, she has a fairly wide array of chemical agents at her disposal. Acids, pheremones, and venoms, mainly. For the most part, these are unused, but she ha a perpetual pheremone cloud around her, both endearing herself in part to others, and making them easier to manipulate... this effect is particularly strong in the hive, keeping hosts and potential hosts submissive.
And... last but not least, her most potent weapon is her mind. She doesn't think like most xenomorphs. Her mental command is not as all-encompassing as with another queen.... nor as far-reaching. She relies on her commanders to control her drones, using an empathic link to keep in touch with them when they're far afield. Her mental abilities are not so limited in scope... just in scale, and range.
She has an ovipositor in her mouth, too, I might add....
She has lots of abilities, to compensate for her lack of size. But the only way you'll find out is to RP with her.
To clarify, on the sliders, MEREN is 100% pred. Others in her service are quite edible, if dangerous to eat.

here, is an example of a Hive Guardian, the variety that watches over the entrances to the Hive, defending it from outside threats. Not always green, but always big, typically being between eight and twelve feet tall, with impressive camouflage and appetites. You have been warned.
