Ooh! Ooh! What's that!? Wait, what are you doing! Hey! That's no-MRPH!

Oh dear. Well, curiosity gets so many people and things in trouble, doesn't it? It should be no surprise that an inquisitive little girl might poke her nose where it doesn't belong and get nommed up by a predator.

Meet Meira, the little girl in question! Kind of, anyway. Far older physically than she is mentally, she's got an incredibly inquisitive nature that would get her into a lot of trouble, were it not for what she is. Being a spirit entity has its perks, does it not?

Meira, in fact, is a nature spirit. Hundreds of years old, she's lived without a care in the same little tract of woods for her entire life. She's met many children in that time, and learned English from them, among a few other things, but at the same time, meeting people has only sparked her curiosity more. As time has passed, she's become more and more restless and inquisitive, and frankly, she's learned enough about her home to last her a lifetime!

So, she's out, now. Sort of. She's still bound to her home, metaphysically speaking, but at the same time she's not THERE. She's wandering! Learning new things! Meeting new people! Getting into new trouble. Well, what did you expect? Silly girl. She can't help it, though.

After all, how would she have known that there were so many hungry people out here?

Meira stands about four and a half feet tall, typically, with light brown skin the same hue as some tree barks, and nuts. She's got green hair, at times with pink flowers blooming in it, and lovely green eyes. Her ears are slim and elfin, and, well, frankly, when you add in the cute little dress, made of simple, white cloth, she's adorable! At least, in this form.

Being a nature spirit as she is, though, she has some perks. Among them is the ability to change to anything in nature she should desire! It's taken her a while to get the hang of it, but her ability is impressive! Even if it takes a while to change, and some considerable effort. More often, she'll become a demihuman variant of whatever animal she's trying to be. And, good lord, a squirrel girl has a LOT of energy!

Another ability she has is elemental manipulation... results may vary. ._.

Anyway....

Meira is an incredibly inquisitive being, as well! She's always trying to do and learn new things, and frankly, this is the main way she gets into trouble. She winds up sticking her nose where it doesn't belong, often literally, and then she winds up sliding down a throat! Not that she minds, much. But really! You could just ask first!

She wonders, as well, what those things people wear on their feet are called, often. Going barefoot herself, she doesn't understand it!
