The Nexus has always been a great place to live for most species that mull about, going with those species comes all the necessities of life, groceries, homes, entertainment, all sorts of things, but one thing had been there that people normally just walked by. Small pet stores also exist for those who want companionship beyond what the park and its inhabitants can offer.

This pet store sells all sorts of things that you would expect to find in such a place. Dogs, cats, snakes, Lizards, birds. Basically everything you could think of. however this pet store has a back room. and in it, are the exotic species. Usually slightly more costly, but within it are things like Naga, harpies, and off in the corner in a small ecoball a small Mermaid. curled up within the small glass of its enclosure. With the nametag Medrid. The small little girl looks out at you with a hopeful gaze that you will take her, and perhaps put her somewhere where she would have some room to move.

Medrid was born in a large tank swimming about for a long time until she was old enough to be harvested and taken away from her friends and family, shipped across the Nexus to this small store where she will most likely be sold. This was the life of her species, they know not what an ocean or a lake even looks like, born and raised in the confines of the tanks. So when Medrid was kept in the Ecoball she was told that this was how their lives progress. So she would float around and move when she can.

However it has been rumoured that people who buy from this store do so for more then just companionship, Sometimes they come here looking for live prey for themselves, or their own pets. All Medrid can do, is hope that who ever decides that they want her. wants to keep her alive.
