"W-would you cut it out! I d-dont just bite people at random!"

Needless to say, Mayda got one of two reactions when people learned of her 'condition'.

Either they wanted to kill her...or to get her to bite them. Needless to say, neither was a very appetizing thought to her, especially since most of the ones who wanted to be bit...well..

not to be rude, but, less then desirable.

Nevertheless, she would not turn them anyway. Mayda...has no urge to turn anyone yet, nore does she even have much of a blood urge. One might attribute that to her youth, but the simple truth is that she has not bit anyone....ever.

All her blood was given to her either through blood packs, or it is a synthetic blood compound that nourishes, even if it does not have a very pleasant taste. The simple reason? She wants to be approachable to humans, in any way possible. She doesn't want anyone to have that knee-jerk reaction toward her because she is a vampire.

...at least, that's the plan.

Abilities

Six senses: Being infected with Sanguinare Vampiris has a rather unique effect on her senses. One might say they were heightened, but the truth is that they are simply tuned. She can sense body heat with her eyes, hear the sound of a heart beating...smell the scent of a fresh wound, or a body perspiring...She has the instincts of a predatory being, even if she does not use them at all. It makes it incredibly hard for the living to sneak up on her though.

Undeath: Do not let the color of that picture fool you. That was took after she had a good meal. Mayda is dead, she has been dead for a long time, and she will continue to be dead long after that. This, naturally, poses a lot of problems for her. For one, she is lukewarm to the touch at best, making physical contact with her rather...creepy. The second is that, without certain medicines or constant feeding, she will go into a state of rigor mortis. The third? A distinct lack of bodily fluids -except- for blood. The body, of course, replaces that need of fluid with the blood of her 'victims' hense the blood cravings...but it also makes a lot of her day to day function a bit...unnerving for mortals, not to mention the fact she does not breath...period....again, unnerving.

Glamour: There is upsides to being dead. Needing less organs to be functioning allows the mind to hone its focus over other things. For example, the glamour. A specific shift in voice and muscle tensing, she can literally 'hypnotize' someone for a short period of time. She can't, however, tell them to do something completely against their nature.

Muscular Enhancement: Again, the lack of need for most organs has its benefits. Mayda is impossibly faster and stronger then her size would belay, through sheer control of her own muscles. She can stop them and start them at will, with little to no effort. This, of course, also allows her the chance to appear totally dead, should she be captured, and this degree of non-movement can also repulse people from looking toward her....along with, with enough training, giving her the appearance to be 'blinking' in and out of existence through rapid movement into complete stillness.

Fangs: Yep, she has them. Yep, she can bite you. Yep, she drinks blood...kind of obvious.

Weaknesses

Senses: This is a weakness as much as it is a strength. Strong scents can, literally, disorient her, along with overly loud sounds. Garlic, especially, makes her sick to her stomach, along with church bells, as they resonate at the perfect frequency to disorient her. This, of course, is a common problem amongst the living dead.

Mirrors: She cant see herself in them. Other people can see her, but she -cant- see herself in them. She doesn't know why, all vampires have this problem. Most are convinced its the change in the eye structure that allows for their 'blood vision' that causes this.

Faith: Crosses don't burn her. Churches don't hurt her, holy water does not cause her pain, rosaries cannot force her to do others will...EXCEPT, if the person wielding any of them possesses enough faith and belief in the object they are using. Faith is a strong force.

Invitation: Vampires need to be invited into a home, or else they cannot enter it. This is something overtly common with the undead as a whole, and many believe it was a curse performed on the ancient undead, as opposed to an actual physical limitation.

Sunlight: The very same thing is true with this. Mayda 'cannot' be in direct sunlight. It will set her ablaze and kill her. Similarly, if she attempts to stay awake during the day and does not sleep, her body begins to rapidly shut down and 'bleed out' any and all blood she has stored in her..
