Basic Overview

In the Jigokusekai, there exists many types of worlds called 'Circles', within these circles many different demons roam and rule the lands. However, there exists a few that exist that have no sense of day...these worlds are called Night Worlds and are bathed in constant moonlight. The demons who usually inhabit these worlds are called Yoru no Akuma, or Night Demons. Among these nocturnal beings are the Nightwalkers, the only ones known to have existed both in the Jigokusekai and the mortal plane with no trouble for adapting to the latter's cycle of day and night. Nightwalkers are, essentially, the most common form of Night Demon there is in the Jigokusekai, being a close relative to the Vampire and Koumorijin (Bat People) part of their success comes from how easy it is for them to adjust to other worlds and cement themselves within it's ecosystem, most notably their day/night cycle. Nightwalkers are well known for their hooded cloaks, the color of which seems to reflect that particular demons standing in Nightwalker ranks; puple cloaks indicate a low ranking/average demon while a solid black cloak indicates a strong, high ranking member, perhaps even a leader of a small tribe of Nightwalkers.

Nightwalkers, while being the most simple of Night Demons, are noted for their cunning and using their ability to stalk within perfect stealth to ambush prey as large and intelligent as humans. They hunt in groups, the rank of a Nightwalker seeming to play a role in who leads the hunt rather than who gets first pickings on the kill's meat. In most cases, Nightwalkers don't usually hunt most humans for food...they hunt them for their internal organs. After Nightwalkers established themselves within the mortal realm, human organs have becoming fairly popular among their kind, especially with females. The female Nightwalker see human organs arousing and is not above using them as 'sex toys' when mating with a male partner. Blood is an aphrodisiac to the Nightwalker, apart of this being due to how their brain reacts to the intake of blood. The gender of a Nightwalker depends on how they react to it's effects; males tend to frenzy when they drink blood, becoming murderous to other beings while females become excessively lustful and assertive. For this reason, when a male wishes to impress a female, he kills a human, harvests his/her organs and takes them to the female he wishes to mate with. Depending on his collection, she might very well take him in as her mate. Compared to that of other demonic races, Nightwalkers are moderately classed, only being shown as a moderate threat given their barbarianism and lack of civil thinking, to which, higher ranking demons seem to pride themselves in having.

As far as Matsudo is concerned, only about half of this is true to his actually personality as an individual, being he himself has repressed a fair amount of his primal instincts and has adopted a more...civilized attitude as opposed to his Nightwalker brethren. Granted, there are somethings, he can't entirely shake from his personality, that being a Nightwalker's carnivorous eating habits and their primal way of living. As far as Matsudo's concerned, he's more of a...friendly savage than the civilized one he wants to become, but he's working on fixing that, usually by learning of different cultures and teaching himself of different ways to live. Matsudo can't read or write very well, but is slowly learning how. Aside from that, he can speak rather intelligently but falls rather short when trying to decipher foreign languages. Matsudo likes to explore and has taken up a nomadic existence away from his pack of Nightwalkers back home. Underneath his hood, Matsudo has short, rouge colored hair, small demon horns on the top of his head and pointed ears.

Personality

At his core, Matsudo is a misfit among his group of night demons. Normally, a male Nightwalker is nothing short of a predatory murderer who hunts down unsuspecting prey, devouring their flesh and stealing their organs. Matsudo...doesn't do this. No, he's a bit too...how do you say, sentient for that. Not to say that his brothers and sisters aren't sentient, they're just too bloodthirsty to realize there's more to just obeying life's most primal of instincts. He doesn't hate his fellow night demon, he merely wishes that they focus more on the bigger picture rather than organ harvesting and flesh eating. Matsudo himself is laid back, albeit, fairly quiet and to himself. There are times where he can be a bit snarky or sarcastic though, not above poking fun at others in a playful manner (usually since he feels that a jovial and fun loving approach is a good way to meet people and make friends). Because he's not like his fellow night demons, he finds himself being curious of the world around him, most notably about the many other races and animals he has yet to meet in person.

Matsudo also likes to spend time bettering himself in literature and reading, taking whatever opportunity he can to learn how to read better and become more fluent in different languages. Magic is also a particular interest to him and will often times find himself fascinated or in awe of what other types of magical phenomena await him beyond the dark realm of the Nightwalker. However, since most tend to be diurnal, while he himself is nocturnal, he often finds himself going against his natural lifestyle as a demon, which severely weakens him as a Night Demon. One will often find Matsudo in the shadow of a tree, or some other large object, this is not to give the look of him brooding or sulking...it's to preserve what little power is left in him thanks to being out during the day. At night, however, he's a bit more lively and social, shedding his sluggishness and trading it off for a more robust and talkative persona. Sexually, Matsudo is as straight as an arrow and can be a fairly open about sex. Even going so far as to put off his usual quest for knowledge for a nice romp in the sack if an attractive female makes the slightest of advances toward him.

Likes: Darkness, talking with others, learning of different cultures and races, exploring.

Dislikes: Bright lights, sunlight, being labeled a monster, vegetables.

ABILITIES AND COMBAT

Combat Abilities

- Umbra Wisp: All Nightwalkers (and Night Demons, in general) hold the ability to manifest the powers of darkness from their source of Devil Mana, this being no different Matsudo. The Umbra Wisp, as it's been called by those who've seen it, is a type of dark imbued fire that gives off no visible light making it impossible to see in darkness.

- Umbra Arts: A unique style of fighting that seems to only exist in Night Demons, this style focusing in and around the elements of darkness and also employs stealth and ambush into it's workings. Close combat techniques use the powers of Umbra Mana and the Umbra Wisp to give them that extra kick, while passive skills are usually all based on stealth, speed and agility.

- Night Rave: A Nightwalker's claws are the most dangerous weapons they could ever have, said claws being able to easily rip and tear open flesh of even the toughest of demons. However, when in combat, these claws are coated in darkness which makes them tough to see in the night but also adds a potent boost in power.

- Nightmare Gate: Only a few Nightwalkers actually hold the power to do so but, there are some who are able to freely manipulate the shadows. With this ability, Matsudo can form constructs from shadows around him and freely manipulate them to use as a weapon or a form of defense. One of the more common ways he uses this is to form sharp-toothed maws in these shadows and send them slithering through to the victim's where the mouth then gobbles them up or to sprout slimy tendrils of darkness from his shadows or shadows around him. The power and effectiveness of this ability increases greatly depending on how dark the area is. An area of complete darkness...well, that raises the nightmare fuel up to the eleven now doesn't it~?

Latent Attributes

- Nocturnal Mind: A latent ability that grants Matsudo with a number of extra senses when he is in complete darkness or during the night time hours. These senses include a form night-vision, that allows Matsudo to see in complete darkness and pinpoint prey from great distances. There's also the 'sixth sense' most demons have that allow them to detect the presence of others in nearby areas. With Matsudo, this is also strengthened when at night and becomes far more sensitive allowing Matsudo to home in on someone's presence from great distances.

- Yami Resist: A latent attribute that exists in all Night Demons, especially those of Nightwalkers. With this, Matsudo is immune to damage that exude of dark energies.

- Shadow Gate: A passive ability that grants Matsudo the ability to jump into shadows and use them as portals to travel across distances or hide away. Matsudo can pop out of the same shadow or out of a nearby one if he so wishes but he can't hide within his own. In addition, he is able to take objects and people into these shadows, but dropping them into the shadows do not allow them to travel through them. This is all due to the simple fact that things can't go through Matsudo's shadow(s) if they aren't touching him in some way.

- Blood Insanity: A passive ability that stems from Matsudo's repressed inner night demon he had to lock away in order to embrace a more contemporary lifestyle. The trigger for this attribute lies in his natural psychological reaction to blood and the consumption of blood; if Matsudo ever sees it present or comes into contact of it, his inner demon begins to stir and slowly take hold of his psyche. If he remains in contact with blood for too long, he gives in to his latent demon and lets it run wild. When Matsudo's in this state, his capabilities in combat increase dramatically, most notably his speed and agility.

Favored Finishers

Vore Traits, Kinks, Other fetish-y mess

Anima Eater: Although most usually don't bother with this, Matsudo acknowledges the presence of souls and is actually willing to devour them if he sees that he wants to. To do this, he merely tears it out with his deathly sharp claws (doing no visible damage to the victims flesh) and feasting on the soul from there. The result powers up his own reserves of Devil Mana and, in turn, allows him to unlock new abilities and powers that no other Nightwalker knows how to weild.

Hot Blooded Libido: Can only be unlocked if Matsudo is exposed to, or consumes, blood. If his Blood Insanity attribute is active, then his sexual drive and stamina also takes a spike upward. He seems to retain a stable fertility rate of the average Nightwalker, but this can change depending on the properties of the blood he consumed.

Explorations/Experiences

- Eilene (Friend): An impulsive mithra who seems to have opened a gate for Matsudo growing fond of the mithran race in general. An odd acquantince of sorts, the two often meet in passing a lot but things usually end with him being sat on or dominated in someway.

OOC Notes/Junk

+ Anything here can be found on my main profile Circle_of_Jermod, and most of my preferances are about the same for this character as they are for all my others. Matsudo is a rare character choice being he's 50/50 on the pred and prey scale. In this sense, he's both pred and prey. Since I usually don't play male pred characters he might not always see vore action but, there maybe a time where I'm in a rare mood to do so...

+ Matsudo is also a hard vore character. Note, I usually don't do this either, but for those interested, hit me up and we'll see if I'm willing to try.

+ A creature from the Circle_of_Jermod, of course~
