Melmo is a nine-year-old girl, who's mother was killed in a car accident. As a ghost, Melmo's mother visited her and gave her a bottle of self-replenishing magic candy from the gods. The blue candy makes her age 10 years into a 19-year-old version of herself, while the red candy turns her back into a child. Combining both can turn her into an animal of her choosing. With her mother gone, she has to look after her two brothers by herself.
