Mariel

"Ribbit."

The wilds are a dangerous place. Marshes, especially. A misstep might lead the unwary to death by poisonous plants, venomous serpents, drowning in a bog that looked like solid land, or in the belly of a hungry frogperson.

"Croak."

Mariel is such a danger. Having lived all her life in deep marshlands, she is an ambush predator of the highest tier. The ignorant don't think of frogpeople as much of a threat; they have no claws, their teeth aren't sharp, they aren't incredibly strong. What they are, however, is quick, elastic, and incredibly hungry! Between her stretchy flesh and amazingly long, sticky tongue, the froggirl is capable of swallowing even the likes of large nagas alive. Multiple humanoids aren't a problem, much less single prey.

She has other advantages as well. Her natural coloration, green with a smattering of brown spots, blends incredibly well with her surroundings. Her throat can be inflated either to release a sonically stunning croak...or to expand her jaws equally, enough to engulf an entire person at once! Mariel is taller than she looks; standing fully erect she's almost seven feet, most of the height in those powerful legs of hers. Likewise she can jump incredibly, covering huge distances in a moment. And then there's her skin....although not poisonous in any deadly way, her skin is moist from a secretion that, if ingested, causes a mild sense of euphoria. She's basically a living drug.

So can she be beaten? Can she be eaten? Absolutely! Just don't expect her to necessarily be happy about it, and remember that she can put up one hell of a fight. But those biological advantages do come with some drawbacks. The first is a need for moisture, either in humidity or nearby bodies of water. The second is her vision, which is highly keyed to movement and not great at picking out details on stationary objects.

Alternately, she could be used in a more civilized or modern setting. This just takes set up in advance; otherwise she can be assumed to be her good old wild and uncivilized self.
