Marian Vaugn, explorer and knight of the Ascendancy. Not that the Ascendancy has a nobility, or at least they stubbornly insist they don't, but she liked the title Knight anyway. As mentioned Marian is a member of the Ascendancy and in fact part of the vote holding elite and daughter of councillor Samaross Vaugn though despite this she chooses to wander rather than be involved in politics and despite the best wishes of Samaross.

She's a nice few inches over five foot in height and a fairly slender eighteen year old with coppery hair tied in a ponytail to her midback, a rather cute smile and soft curves. She usually sticks to serviceable outfits with a leather fur lined waist length jacket and knee length hard wearing skirt. Beneath the Jacket she tends to wear a dark blue shirt and her ensemble is completed by her belt, flying goggles, fingerless gloves and hardwearing boots.

Marian hails from Exile and will usually be found there though may be found in other worlds via the use of air gates she has a knack for finding. Exile is one of earth's possible futures where an asteroid impact returned magic to the world but shattered it into a million floating islands in an airy void, humanity turning towards magic, steampunk or a mix of the two to reassert civilization and traverse using airships and dragons between the numerous lands. Vore also came to humanity as the species split into numerous subspecies from catgirls to dog girls, harpies, dragonettes and myriad other races.

Marian has left her island behind her to explore Exile and beyond. She has a light ornithropter wing aircraft to use, its endurance is its only exceptional feature having average manouverability and speed as well as only carrying one person* slung underneath and a bit of cargo along with that. The craft is powered by a vandegraaf magnetic engine that is recharged via lightning rod when suitable storms are available.

For defence Marian chooses a slender Rapier, bolt action rifle and sixshot revolver though as a back up her mother has secured her a reformation amulet so that her escapades don't get her into trouble. More so because despite the best efforts of her mother Marian has expressed curiousity what it'd be like to be eaten, though Marian herself is predator capable and won't turn down a meal herself.

*While the ornithropter only has strapping in space for one person it has enough power and wingspan to support extra weight. So if you didnt mind riding in 'the cramped seat' she could take you along.
