She is a large one. but is a siren. Sort of either a siren took the form of a Giraff, or was born one. And can manipulate her form at will if she finds one that is useful... Though that requires Bio-mass. She has the form she is and that is it for now. She might turn into a mare of smaller size if given the option but bigger creatures would require more mass. The bigger it is the more mass required.
And this talk of mass makes her seem more like a blob... Well in part she could be... however she couldn't get anyone near her if she was that... it would be the murderous blob and they would try to freeze her... however She does have her hunting methods... though mainly requires consent before turing someone into biomass, or just using their sperm for it. And yes she is a very naughty Siren.
Though here is a safety is the siren levithan curse. Sirens that gained too much Biomass and they would start dying of it. They can either die or split, though spliting doesn't save the siren completely, it allows them to continue life. And yes Maria is a split of another siren that may have taught her all of these things.
For Maria she still has a few tons to absorb in mass, and the only way to lose mass is to split. But the mass is treated as density. So Maria can remain the same form but be heavier. The way that Maria gains new forms is by mimicing another form she may want to take. Or by absorbing the being and then mimicing their form. Just that she would be female.
