Maneating_Elephant

General:

Found in specialty zoos or out in the wild, this unusual fellow has the ability to process meat, and large amounts of it at that, though lacking the teeth of a carnivore, he always swallows his meals whole.

Personality:

Like most male African elephants, he is usually not part of a herd, but has been known to gobble up predators who would threaten him or others of his kind, as well as at least two poachers.

That said, Manny, as some have taken to calling him, is an atypically gentle soul, completely harmless to people who don't act against him. Well, not totally 'completely': Manny will eat people who seem to be willing, wrapping his warm trunk around their body and hoisting them up into his mouth, sending the individual to his spacious stomach for digestion or, occasionally, just to hold them playfully in that warm space.

Whether out in the savannah or in a zoo, he somewhat prefers female prey, and likes them to be naked, as clothing can upset his stomach.

Additionally, and likely for reasons related to his unique biology, Manny is extremely intelligent for an elephant. Not to the point of doing complex trigonometry or anything, but he definitely understands a good deal of human speech, including English and Afrikaans, and can spell out a few words if given a paintbrush and something to paint on, things like 'HAPPY', 'HUNGRY', 'HURT?', 'DANGER' and other things of that nature.

In the Zoo:

His gentleness and friendliness made it easy for Manny to be taken into captivity, where he was given a life of luxury in a special Vore Zoo. In addition to the occasional painting that many elephants engage in when given the opportunity, Manny gets to gobble up up to 7 people over the course of a week, although 2-3 is the average. These special meals are all volunteers, some of whom came to the zoo for the express purpose of ending up some lucky animal's meal.

These feedings are always open to the public, with both Manny and meal trained to make the act entertaining for the audience, potentially including a fun striptease, tickling and nuzzling on the part of Manny's trunk, possibly a few sexual acts performed by or on both participants, an explanation of the digestive process delivered by the meal or a handler, and of course the act itself. Special cameras, lights, and microphones are affixed inside Manny's body to allow the meal to both be seen and heard and to communicate with viewers while that is still possible.

Meals will usually ingest a transponder before taking the plunge, allowing zoogoers to track their progress through Manny's (or any of the other animals) digestive system via a smartphone or a zoo-provided informational tablet. This allows patrons to know when they should return to Manny's enclosure, if they're into watching the end result of ingestion, or to simply know for the sake of knowing.

People who come to the Vore Zoo generally want to see people getting eaten and not coming out the way they came, but it is possible to be eaten without digestion, for a price.

RP Ideas:

Special Feeding: You volunteer to be one of Manny's meals, or watch the process unfold from the outside of his enclosure. It's much the same in the wild, but without much of an audience or fancy technology to lessen the intimate act.

Keeper: You are one of Manny's handlers/trainers, there to make sure feedings are set up properly, keep your charge happy and safe, and instruct upcoming meals on what to do during their 15 minutes-6 hours of 'fame'.

Predator: You may be an animal Manny considers a threat, or perhaps a poacher, but he will do everything he can to eliminate that threat, even giving chase should you try to turn tail and run.

Friend: Animal or person, you cross paths with Manny and friendship follows. He might defend you from harm while you help get his special meals, or you work together in some other manner, perhaps using him for unique tasks and generally keeping one another company.
