Appearance

General Figure: Generous proportions on her chest, midsection, and read. Limbs are more slender.

Blue scales, sky blue hair, and a deep lavender eyes. When she gets excited or means someone harm, her eyes start to glow with an increased intensity, even starting to have a noticable fiery aura coming out of them.

Personality

Mal, as she likes to be called is generally sociable and pleasant to be around, enjoying being around other people. She's a little bit chatty at times, especially when a discussing something she has more experience about, or if she has a strong opinion on the matter. In the case of the latter, she is more than a bit confrontational if someone voices disagreement, and tries to sway people towards her point of view.

She takes offense to people who belittle, insult, or disrespect her, and in her eyes such people would serve better in her stomach rather than out and about causing more issues for pleasant folks. Thus she occasionally takes it upon herself to solve the problem, usually by scarfing them down then and there, after giving them a generous exposure to her debhilitating glare.

Despite this, she tends to treasure being able to get away from people should she tire of them, and anyone who pursues her will be turned back through any way possible. In short, she's friendly and social but she will only ever talk to people on [i]her[/i] terms.

Abilities and powers

Basilisk's Gaze: Various levels of intensity.

Level 0: She has to actively suppress her ability in order to keep it at a level where it has no effects on living things. Often she believes that this is more trouble than it's worth, so she won't usually lower it to level 0

Level 1: In a relaxed state of mind and body, her gaze has minimal effect on others. Anyone who meets her gaze experiences a plethora of minor effects based on how long they look, namely goosebumps, tingling, 'pins and needles' sensations, numbness in the extremities culminating in loss of finger and toe control and culminating in entire limbs starting to 'fall asleep' after prolonged exposure. Those unaware of her heritage may simply attribute some of the early symptoms to fear, nervousness, or possibly even attraction.

Level 2: When aroused or excited, her eyes have a slight glow about them and the effects are noticeable much, much faster. Even seconds of looking into her eyes are enough to deaden entire limbs of mobility. This is still usually unintentional, though she does take advantage of anyone who happens to be suitably impaired.

Level 3: When actively hunting Malsira's eyes glow a deep purple, able to paralyze at a glance. Victims who catch the shimmering at the edge will experience all the worst of level 1 symptoms, and those who look directly will be rendered completely paralyzed. The most the average human or anthro will be able to do is twitch and an occasional blink as the basilisk does whatever she wishes over their immobile body. The ability leaves the sensory nerves intact, so they're able to feel every bit that comes next. In the case of accidental exposure or less malicious intentions, this effect fades to level 1 symptoms after a matter of minutes, though a lingering numbness or soreness remains for hours afterwards.

Background

Created through ritual (Hatching the egg of a chicken beneath a toad) rather than born to two existing basilisks, Malsira was raised by her 'father' in an isolated cabin in the woods. The man in question was a conspiracy nut, occultist, and survivalist and being brought up that way has left Malsira with a working knowledge of how to get by on her own as well as some... interesting opinions. Moving out at 17, she kept to herself on the fringes of society, moving from place to place and building up a sizable amount of money from doing various odd jobs. After wandering around for about 2 years, she ended up purchasing a long decommissioned government missile silo and has spent the time since sprucing it up and repairing the place.
Malsira generally spends most of her time outside of what she sees as her personal sanctuary, mingling amongst the people of the nearby city or else just trekking through the wilderness on long excursions. She keeps her home locked up securely with the entrance and ventilation systems camouflaged into the terrain and given that it’s an underground bunker there really isn’t any chance of someone could stumble upon it casually.
