This is Android 21, Dr. Gero's most powerful creation yet. She was modeled after his wife when she passed away and was given an I.Q. equal to that of her creator. And given the sole purpose of killing Goku, the Saiyan warrior who defeated the Red Ribbon Army. But with Dr. Gero dead, it falls to Android 21 to rebuild the Red Ribbon Army and exterminate all of Earth's strongest warriors. Android 21 was created with the extracted data from the mightiest of fighters and the intelligence of the most famous scientists. But with the DNA taken from Frieza, Cell and Majin Buu, she awoke with an unstable hunger. Android 21 is able to take ther power from her victims and add them to her own, by eating them alive.

Her urge to feed is very strong, that Android 21's evil side was born, while originally good. She originally planned to use her research to build a greater society for Earth, while her evil persona is more dominant and her urge to feed is very powerful, no matter how hard her good self tries to suppress it. Android 21 had to revive Android 16 to help in controlling herself, but her evil self took the time in building a machine that releases waves to neutralize Ki and disable the powers of Goku and the others. But after killing Android 16, she splits her two halves into separate physical forms after giving in to despair. The good Android 21 teamed up with Goku and his friends to help regain their full strength and defeat her evil counterpart, while the evil Android 21 gobbled up so many unfortunate victims.

They battled her in the Sacred World of the Kais, where Goku and the others fight the evil Android 21 with everything they've got, with their full potential restored. While Goku charges up the Spirit Bomb, it feel to the good Android 21 to buy him as much time as possible until the Spirit Bomb is complete, but her evil counterpart is too powerful and keeps on making a quick recovery, all the better reason to use the attack taught by King Kai. Goku threw the Spirit Bomb after it was finished, but it wasn't enough. And so, in order for Goku to succeed, the good Android 21 sacrificed herself to bring an end to the final battle, with the Spirit Bomb killing both her and her evil self. King Yemma was later asked by Goku himself to reincarnate the good Android 21, but in an unknown point in time.
