Maella

The Regiment:

Among the many planets and stars of the galaxy there is a certain military regiment that is known far and wide for it's prowess and unique taste in soldiers. They are the 537th Woman's Marine Regiment, famed for doing seemingly impossible missions, the high tech nature of their equipment, and the tendency of their soldiers to have massive...guns. Despite the name, the 537th hasn't been part of an active military for decades, having long since been cast off as unnecessary from their home planet and deciding to take a chance at becoming mercenaries instead. And since that moment, their ranks have opened to any woman who can meet their extensive requirements and those who remember their home-world dwindled over the years.

These women fight with top-of-the-line equipment, from large rail-rifles (portable railguns) to the sleek hi-tech combat suits that each member is given, based on their role within the group. To this end, each 'marine' tends to specialize even further to the point of receiving genetic augmentation and and certain members getting their DNA mapped so clones can be grown of them, complete with memories and most basic skills already instilled in them. They even have their own advanced battle ship, complete with a shackled AI computer warfare suite that's illegal in most systems. But all of these expensive gadgets that allow them to be the top of their game also means the 537th has need to cut costs in other areas.

While entertainment facilities are provided aboard the Alexyion, they are fairly average, meaning the crew and troopers need to find their own diversions during long space flights to fend off boredom. Considering the sexualized nature of the 537th's birth world though, this naturally lead towards one avenue of fulfillment. Now, among the Regiment, social rank is determined just as much as by how domme a marine is, how beautiful they are, how many other girls and women fall into their 'court', and how many 'conquests' they've had as by their actual competency on the battlefield which mostly serves to increase military position within the regiment (privates have had sergeants in their 'courts' before, despite the difference in rank for example). It's a complex and hazardous system, but the Regiment knows enough to leave it to idle time, to prevent it from interfering in combat.

Another area they've managed to cut back on is in rations and medical supplies, though the stories about 537th 'tankers' are so fantastic that most people can't bring themselves to believe them.

All of this upgraded tech and cost-cutting is devoted to a single goal...which only the Commander of the regiment knows and he/she/it isn't just anyone! Most of the marines are in it just out of loyalty to the Regiment, greed, and for the lovely atmosphere to relax in during one's off hours.

The Sorority Mothership

A far cry from your run-of-the-mill super-heavy capital-class ships, the 'Sorority' runs a different kind of show on it's many and varied docks. Capable of hoisting the whole of the Regiment's forces while giving enough docking and lunching super-structure for almost half of it's various star-ships. All of the regular features one might find in such a tailored ship are there - the heavy pressed ceramics and revolutionary Ion-Storm class shields can probably deflect anything from a pea-shooter to a galaxy-class rail-cannon mounted on a rival capital ship. However, the uniqueness of this battle-station is found not on it's gun ports (Which are the weakest point, the station relies mostly on it's fleet for actual, active protection) . Rather the station powerful healing engines, powered by principles derived from the Tanker's prodigious augmentations - the technology to achieve such a fit with machines is something of a legend. At least it explains just how fast does the Regiment recovers even from the most terrible of losses on the battlefield. The other trick, as into how do they replenish their numbers so quickly, is a whole other, different and rather secretive operation. Currently, the Sorority docks for renovations around Elun III, refitting it's armor and weaponry with more powerful AI systems.

The station-ship itself is spherical in shape, slightly ovoid to allow smoother run into portals and to give the pilots and residents something of an "Aft" and "Fro" directions inside the ship. The closer to the internal core, the higher the rank of the officers residing inside while the training and docks are placed on the peripheral areas of the ship. All in all the ship is huge, easily measuring five miles long and four miles deep on it's thickest portion. It's powerful Null engines are amongst the largest of their kind, capable of catapulting the warship as well as the entire fleet across the vast gulfs of space in almost no time at all. On a whimsical note, the ship is painted with royal purple and silver, baring the logo of the regiment for all that are stupid enough to take on the massive star base.

Elum III

The nearest jump after Prospero-Port, it's is also known as the "Rock" for all those too frightful to actually jump to this beautiful, dangerous ocean world. Covered in packed ice and open seas, it's resources are hard to gather as they are stuck under so much water. Instead, the world exports water and supports vast hydrophobic systems that send food across known space. It is also a fringe world that is constantly threatened by bandits and pirates and thus requires the explicit protection of all sorts of mercenary groups. Amongst them are the Regiment 537 and the Archons, warring side by side in endless border patrols against fleets of Genejacks escaped from the Omega Quadrant and other, even less sophisticated fleets trying to sack the rich agri-world.

Etir VII

A paradise world that is said to be the home-world of the very first Tankers of the Regiment 537, as the humans on this world have developed all sorts of unique and odd features that deviated from the regular genetic makeup. This is all due to an ancient war that has been fought on this now-green fields. The nuclear devices detonated in the atmosphere had altered the world's creatures forever. The human stock that had survived was plagued by almost every sort of sickness and cancer imaginable and had delved deep into medicinal sciences in order to promote the welfare of the survivors. The main colonies bartered and traded for just about everything they could in the years after the war until achieving balance on the surface and later, a deeper sort of balance as the world grew from it's own ashes into a paradise world that is now the main node in the medicinal research and genetic augmentation exploits in the known star-grid.

Currently, a few of the Regiment 537's research teams are being employed by this corporate-world as eggheads while a few other squadrons are on patrol, securing the beautiful blue sky over the lush gardens.

Cho-Kai V

The Planet Cho-Kai is one of the single most hotly contested planets on the over-planetary grid. Situated as the last jumping point before the resources-rich Adamantus Nebula, it is the gateway to one of the few rich deposits of Nullroid-12 compound desired by most factions in known space as the key rare element needed to create the powerful Null-Engines. That said, Cho-Kai isn't much to look at - an arid desert planet without much water available and too powerful a sun to consider serious terra-forming. Instead, great space platforms are built around the planet, utilizing it's gravity to anchor the stations and thus avoid expanses from the powerful gravity wells common around Nullroid-12's deposits. On the paper, the planet's mining efforts are ruled by a coalition of the strongest enterprises. It's true on the surface as well and on the mining expeditions sent out to the Adamantus Nebula - only that such fat, happy convoys are often prey to pirating conglomerates. That is were the mercenaries step in and make their payday. The 537 third battalion is almost always stationed here to keep some semblance of order and are commonly at odds with other, less savory mercenary units. It is here where the Sorority had forged it's relations with the Archons after a few joint battles against the notorious 'Space Pigs'.

Compared to the rest of her troop, Maella is an oddity to outside observers with her peculiar armor-suit, helmet, hetero-chroma, and stunning figure. Oh, and her lack of a rail rifle like her sister-marines in favor of only carrying a smaller semi-automatic weapon. However, all of this can be explained with one simple phrase that only really makes sense within the Regiment.

"She's a 'tanker'."

To the un-initiated, that means Maella is in charge of keeping her troop patched up and their bellies full which doesn't explain much until...one considers her massive breasts locked beneath the heavy metal bust-shell that is fitted to her armor-suit. That's right, to cut back on the cost of rations and such it's Maella's job to breastfeed her fellow troopers with her nutrient rich milk. But that's not all either, as her different eye colors are a side effect of her added genetic markers and tell-tale signs to her fellow marines, she's also the troop medic but that process is also carried out the same way. Due to her alterations, that same yummy breastmilk accelerates the natural healing processes of a person's body, meaning that once she's patched up any imminently lethal wounds, Maella's milk is then used to make sure that wound closes in hours instead of days.

This explains the heavily fortified and augmented bust-shell covering her chest and the helmet (if she breathes in too many poisons, chemicals, etc. then it affects her milk and those who drink it negatively) quite well. Even the smaller SMG type weapon too, since carrying around a rail rifle would only make the team medic seem like a larger threat to the enemy, marking Maella out to be shot first. Every thing does seem to be explained by that simple phrase even her massive bust, to those not in the Regiment.

The simple fact is that, even for a tanker, Maella is exceptionally well-endowed as a benefit of how compatible her genetics were with the the gene-augments given to her. It's because of this natural susceptibility that there's clones of her now kept on-board the ship and why her suit is a bit better armored then other tankers. But it's on-board the ship that (to many of her sister-marines) her real value can be seen. Maella is, for lack of a better word, naive to the depraved games played aboard the ship and doesn't count herself as a member of anyone's court. She's actually naive to lots of things, being new to the 537th and to being a tanker specifically (she still gets embarrassed about feeding her troop!), but it's that same charming innocence that has brought her so much trouble. Being a tanker and as comely as her should have shot her up through the Regiment's social structure...if she merely had the aggressive nature of her fellows. But she doesn't and as many harassers have gleefully discovered, there's a deeply buried submissive streak in the girl just waiting to be exploited and used to warp her into the perfect (and only) tanker-toy.

And to think she joined up for adventure, excitement, and a steady paycheck!

((OOC: The preferences list below is far from comprehensive, so feel free to ask about stuff that isn't on it if it interests you! <3

I'm rather friendly OOC but I can be a bit picky about who I play with, so if I say 'no' or turn down an idea, don't let that get you down at all! Also, sending an IC whisper to me before talking is a bit off-putting, barring a really nice IC post. I like to chat a little bit before playing is all, try to get a feel for who I'm playing with.

I give a little mini-setting that people can plumb for ideas, but I don't require someone to play in it just to play with Maella, so don't let that stop you!))
