Lonnie Wormwood was around before there was worms and before there was wood, yet she stood as the trees, the worms, and she grew. She only grew, evading the trappings of aging being something other than human - an important patron to nature. For years, she watched over the trees - quite literally - and made sure the forests were safe.

Yet, over the course of hundreds of years, watching over a certain slice of the world gets boring. Lonnie wanted to do something. so she picked up the sweetest-sounding name overheard from a particularly friendly camping family, and tacked on a last name combining her two favorite parts of the forests she watched over - worms and wood, both enduring over plenty of time.

She worked with park officials, making sure most who traveled inside her forests were of good intent, and making some good friends along the way. She truly knew what humans were like, and she appreciated them wholeheartedly.

A bit too, wholeheartedly, if you might ask. She knew the benefits of wates on the soil like the back of her hand...and then that got her to thinking. Could she give to the forests, in such a way? Not by dining on kindly travelers...but by being dined on herself.

She still roams the foliage today, waiting for someone to make her vision a reality.
