Lydrassa is a lamia who comes off as somewhat reserved, relaxed and introverted. She has a terse speaking style, and often takes a little while to warm up to the people she meets. Given enough time though and the more sly, adventurous, and sensual aspects of her personality may eventually come out. Consequently she tends to be a fairly solitary lamia, but finds that she enjoys the right company at the times where she finds it.

Being that she is a lamia, she does need to eat large prey, and often she finds them by hunting. What or -- more likely -- who ends up being her food depends on where she is and who's around her. And that's one of the tricky bits for her: most of the people she meets ends up becoming her food, which makes personal relationships somewhat difficult! So she does like to have interesting albeit temporary relationships with her prey, and prefers it when they can be at least cordial about her eating them. Though she has ways of rendering her prey docile or even willing through her venom:

She can deliver her venoms through her bites or more like a poison by having her prey ingest it, and she has up to two different kinds of venom she can use, either on their own or together. (Note that for any given scene with Lydrassa, she can have any combination of these venoms including none at all -- whatever fits the scene the best.) The first is a more typical toxin that paralyzes her prey. At weak doses the prey can still move their limbs just a little. At higher dose they're completely immobilized. Either way it generally doesn't cause pain or death, and they still remain conscious and with full sensation, a fact that on occasion brings Lydrassa some amusement as she can play with or torment her prey if she chooses. For this reason she most often uses it on her more feisty prey, or anyone that she strongly wants to subdue and dominate.

The second venom is more unique and interesting one, in that it's something of a combination of an aphrodisiac and a hormone that rewires the prey's brain. Its immediate effects are to send the recipient into a state of heightened arousal, producing an almost love-drunk effect. The venom works in conjunction with phermones that Lydrassa gives off, making her specifically seem very attractive and alluring to the prey, even irresistible at high enough doses. The second more bizarre effect is that it changes the prey's sense of what they find attractive, causing them to perceive Lydrassa's mouth, belly, and the rest of her digestive system as sex organs. The upshot is that her prey suddenly find themselves having some peculiar and intense vorarephiliac desires, even if they never had such a thing before! For those that are less strong willed or more lascivious, assuming they even try to resist these new urges in the first place, they often end up feeding themselves to her quite eagerly, and find it immensely pleasurable to do so! (Though possibly not once they start to digest.) The venom doesn't control their mind, though. These are just urges, after all. Nothing's actually making them give themselves to the now gorgeous and alluring lamia and those oddly seductive lips of hers...

Given the rather erotic nature of her second venom, Lydrassa often uses it when she's feeling more attention starved, as she quite enjoys the amorous attention she gets from her prey when using it. She also considers it to be a more ethical and comfortable way to eat since her prey end up becoming more willing and often enjoying some of the experience. There have even been those that find a unique friend and partner in her and end up consensually having her use the venom on them so that they can experience its salacious effects for their own pleasure.

Backstory:

Lydrassa doesn't really have a set backstory, and she can appear in practically any setting where it makes sense for there to be a lamia, or even settings where it doesn't. She's right at home in the Nexus, especially since it's not much of a faux pas to eat people here.

Her default story, though, is that she lives in a large cave deep in the woods and away from most civilization and prying eyes, in a modern fantasy setting. There she leads a mostly solitary existence, broken up by her hunting for prey, or having potential prey wander into her (admittedly large and attractive) cave on their own. She particularly likes it when people do that, partly because it saves her from having to hunt, but mostly because she likes having visitors. Having been living alone for so long, she's gradually starting to find herself growing tired of it and wanting more companionship. It's difficult though when most the people around her are also potential food!

Some other possible scene setups:

• Lydrassa is your lamia girlfriend, and after being together for a while, you both finally decide to take the next big step in the relationship... and become her food.
• You encounter Lydrassa as she's hunting out in the wilderness, and she decides you're her next meal. You could put up a fight, or not. She could use her venom on you and you could try to resist it, or instead relax and enjoy it. Either way, you end up in her stomach.
• Lydrassa lives alone in a modern city that is home to humans and other fantasy creatures, and where vore is legal. She goes out on the town looking for companionship and/or food. Maybe it's not entirely clear to her partner what they're getting into. Or maybe they know exactly what they're getting into...
• Again in a modern fantasy setting, Lydrassa has a profile on a dating app, perhaps a vore-centric dating app, and she goes out of her way to mention her aphrodisiac venom hoping to find someone that's into that sort of thing.
• You and Lydrassa are roommates, and your curiousity about her eating habits finally gets to you. Perhaps it's because she's had so many people come into her room that seem to have a very good time but never come out again. Perhaps it's because you've always harbored a secret crush on her. Perhaps it's because you're an unabashed voraraphile. Regardless of the reason, one thing leads to another...

Some notes about playing with Lydrassa:

Though Lydrassa does have a human abdomen, she (generally) does not have a human stomach. Her throat runs through her human torso into her snake body, which is where digestion takes place. Her stomach is designed to digest large prey quickly and efficiently, and her acids can be quite potent. She's also larger and much more muscular than an average human, and can move very fast if she needs to.

The effects of her aphrodisiac venom can be flexible, depending on how much Lydrassa uses or what a particular scene calls for. At low doses it can make people feel more relaxed and comfortable as though they're tipsy. It doesn't necessarily render unwilling prey fully willing, either, as the recipient still retains their full will -- it's not a mind control spell. Overall it's much more effective when her prey doesn't resist its effects. And the general idea is for it to be a device for exploring scenes with semi-willing prey with a focus on the tug-of-war between vore being a scary, degrading, and fatal affair and it being seductive, sensual, intimate, and even romantic.
