Lunatiel

Meet Luna (left) and Tiel (right). They are an odd but inseparable pair of lovers. Despite their clashing style and personalities, they are never seen too far from one another. The duo like to indulge in all manners of activities together, some less acceptable than others to say the least. They've successfully managed to lead double lives. In one they are super wealthy models while in the other they are assassins and bounty hunters. Their double lives aren't exactly something they care about being left a secret, they never got into too much trouble over it. They've made it very clear that nothing good comes from going after them. They do the modeling because they think it's fun and they do the hunting to get easy money and have a blast. They're both terribly good at anything that requires violence and they are extremely efficient. In their time alone they like to relax, have fun together and enjoy their ludicrous wealth in all manners of ways.

With all of that being said, they are not Lunatiel herself... or not really. There was a Lunatiel once, but she's been long forgotten by the passage of time. What lead to the separation of the powerful being known as Lunatiel is a complete mystery. From their memories of their past life as one, only scrambled bits remain scattered between the two of them. They are what is left of Lunatiel, two different yet equal halves that are yet a far cry from what Lunatiel was in her glory days.

Lunatiel was a strange woman indeed, originally only a simple magically adept human girl from a long lost era. She witnessed in firsthand experience the fragility of human life when she became one of the few survivors of an outbreak that razed the city she inhabited. After observing the cruelty of the world she chose to detach herself from it. She learned how to use magic, mastering alchemy and sorcery on the level of a true master by the time she became 20 years old. Lunatiel became a real glutton for knowledge and power. She despised weakness and sought strength to gain control of her fate. Studying magic provided both the knowledge and power she desired. One fascination she developped was studying mythology and the various monsters, demons, spirits and legends that were recorded through history. Most supernatural creatures have human origins and are born from epic circumstances, any human can turn into all kind of monsters given the circumstances and it obsessed her. The fearsome powers these beings held was something she was jealous of. Whether you're the captain of a ship who was betrayed by your whole crew and thrown into the depth to drown, a man who was raised by the beasts of the wild or a saint who lived an unatural long life. Either through fate or sheer force of will, any human could become something more through the release (forceful or not) from their humanity, sometimes something good, but most of the time something quite evil. Her obsession with these myths led her to attempt something that was seldom ever tried before; willingly casting off the chains of her own humanity. Reading on an emperor's attempt at immortality through worship from his nation or a queen's attempt by killing and drinking the blood of virgins to retain her youth forever. She found that these methods, while successful in achieving their aim, often led to tragedy. The emperor had become an immortal demi-god of sort, but was promptly sealed away by the priests that helped him attain his transcendance after he was judged to be corrupted by evil. The queen on the other hand became a vampiric creature of the night, cast away by the sun and all of her subjects, her existence was ended when she was caught and forced to face the light. Musing on those example, Lunatiel found them to be quite poetic. Fate had a way to strike down those who were forcing their way to transcendance unprepared in ironic maners. Those who weren't struck down like legendary saints, old archimages, powerful spirits and others had a few things in comon; discipline, a strong force of will and a powerful soul nurtured by it. There was no shortcut for proper transcendence. Fortunately, strength of will and discipline were not lacking in Lunatiel, and since she had survived a deadly outbreak that wiped an entire city at a young age, she couldn't help but feel like fate was on her side. She would be weak no longer.

By the time Lunatiel was 24 years old, she had become one of the most well respected monster hunter of the land. She was ruthless and scary when she was hunting. Her magical might left nothing up to chance. It was said that when she was on a hunt, it was as good as finished. Unbeknownst to her employers, financial gain or saving people weren't her priorities. She had found her way to transcendance by consuming the souls of the monsters she hunted through sorcery, forcefully melding her essence with theirs. She took on anything and little by little her body was changing, as if the countless souls of the monster she hunted were giving her monstrous traits of her own. It didn't matter what it was, a demon, a restless ghost, an angel, a beast, fairies. Whatever it was she put her sight on became her meal. Eventually she felt herself becoming stronger, more agile, more resilent. Then she didn't need sorcery at all to feast upon them, it had become a part of her being to grow through the consumption of others. By this time she barely started to notice how much of her humanity she had lost. Her nails were more claw-like in their sharpness, her eyes were those of a predator; animalistic, savage and utterly intimidating. She had grown horns above her hears that were curving forward as a testament to the many demons she had devoured. She had grown feathery wings like those of the poor angels she had chowed down. She was becoming an amalgamate of the beings she had consumed. Her strength and hunger ever growing, she started to eat what she hunted physically as well as spiritually. But as her humanity diminished, the humans she saw as nothing particularly interesting became more and more enticing. The monsters she hunted considered them as prey, shouldn't she consider them as such? She knew that the moment she devoured one of them that would be the final step in destroying what was left of her humanity, and she did it gleefully and repeatedly. There came a time when she couldn't recall how many humans had gone through her digestive track. People had become warry of her for a long time, but that was the confirmation they needed that the hunter needed to be hunted down... Alas there was nothing to be done, Lunatiel had grown too powerful.

If Lunatiel stopped there, she might have still been Lunatiel. Not the human Lunatiel, but Lunatiel nonetheless. But she felt like there was yet another barrier that needed to be crossed. She knew of the gods and the spiritual world. To truly transcend, she should be able to cast her physical form away at will. She wanted to cross into the domain of divinity. She felt like it was possible and isolated herself in order to pursue that goal. Occasionally obliterating and devouring the pitiful humans that came for her head, seeking justice. She spent time looking into what was needed. She learned that in order to become a goddess she needed two things. The first was faith gained through devotion, prayer, worship, fear and influence. That would be tricky. But she also needed something else, a concept to represent. Gods always represent something, gods of flame, gods of the sea, gods of travel, gods of fertility. She needed a concept to represent but didn't quite know what she wanted to be symbolic of. She needed a concept she would respect, something that fit her intellectual self, her life to that point, something somewhat neutral. She gave thought and while calmly walking around a dilapidated temple and coming face to face with a mirror she looked at her white feathery wings and her horns, immediately she thought of the dualism of light and darkness. This was a concept she could embody. And so she got to work. Getting humans to worship her was the hardest bit, she had grown so detached from them she had to learn what made them tick again. Eventually she found some cultists willing to worship her. When she felt like everything was good, she tried to break the barrier and transcend to the spiritual level. Through sorcery and a ritual with cultists, she tried to breach into the spiritual world, but something didn't go quite as planned. She never knew why she failed, but instead of transcending, she sank into oblivion. Somewhere between existance and non-existance. There in consciousness, her memory and everything about her sundered into many small conceptual fragments. Eventually they gathered into two distinct beings, two equal halves yet different. The process wasn't instantaneous either. Lunatiel spent ages stuck in that planed of existence and non-existence. At last when she was reconstructed as Luna and Tiel, they emerged in the same world but many eras in the future. Technological improvements and historical development left them in a world that was completely unfamiliar to them. The memories of Lunatiel were scrambled between them, making them in a sense almost amnesiac. They were left there with no purpose, no landmark, no clue as to the reason of their existence. There was nothing but themselves.

They were quick to piece together the situation they were in, and familiarized themselves with each other. There is an obvious bond linking them that seems to make them weaker the farther they get apart. They still wield formidable power but nothing quite like Lunatiel did in her prime. While Luna and Tiel might seem to be complete opposite of one another, they have a lot of traits and quirks that they share. Regardless of their differences, they like each other very much and have become lovers. Although they love each others, they both have very different ideas about how to live their lives. Luna is very much set on continuing Lunatiel's plan for the pair, which would end up in the both of them to be reunited and become the goddess they were meant to become. Tiel on the other hand is much more interested in stagnating their evolution and profiting from their current situation and live their lives to their full extent.

• Approachability and availability
• I will speak to anyone, but if you're being pushy or annoying I may stop speaking to you.
• I expect the players I chat with to have at least a decent grasp of the English language.
• (This means I will not roleplay with players who have poor writing skills.)
• I'm not a fan of in-roleplay approaches or awkward approaches. This means people whose first messages are asking me strange questions about what my characters could do or would want to do.
• I'm being serious about awkward approaches; some people here do not know how to approach others.

• I'm not interested in specific sexual fetishes like body parts worship, don't come at me looking for sex or footplay or stuff like that please.
• If reading my preferences don't make that clear I like monstrous predators (monstrous in the psychological sense). I like sadistic preds and I like horror as well.
• For that reason I'm not interested in cudly roleplays where characters just hang with each others and sing Kumbaya. Unless maybe it's part of a bigger roleplay and there's reasons for it.

• I will not share any personal information. I've had nothing but bad experiences doing that.
• If you want to do things outside of roleplaying don't get your hopes up, I'm not very keen on that for the same reasons.
