Lycanthropy, the wolf's curse, said to be the power of the old hunter gods passed down through eon's, there are several ways one might contract this primal curse within them. Being fed the blood of a Lycan is one such method but it is meerly a trigger, the victim will gain a craving to feed, if they should act upon that impulse before the next full moon then the curse will take a hold of them. Then there is the arcane method, many magic users can force the curse onto people, but the ritual is a master level one that requires difficult to obtain ingredients. Finally there is the inheritance method, this one is the most simple to explain, the child of any Lycan will themselevs at a certain age become a Lycanthrope.
That is the method Logan gained his version of the curse, though he would tell you it was a gift, you see natural born lycanthropes have full control over their power, they can shift forms as they see fit and are usually quite a bit stronger than your average werewolf, especially in the light of a silver moon.
He also does not have a need to feed on other living beings, any time Logan devours a person or animal it's because he want's to, simply but he is a rational individual, capable of compassion and reasoning, sometimes he just want's to go a bit savage is all.
