It can be dangerous to be normal.
Lillian Nees is extraordinary by human standards, but only a bit. She stands at five foot ten inches tall, which is noticeably on the tall side for a human woman. Her build is curvy and soft, with just a bit of pudge around the middle, which makes her stand out- but isn't outrageous enough to be obviously strange (even her generous bust is 'only' an F-cup, and her rump, while wide, is not so extreme as to make her shoulders look tiny). Her hair is noticeably long (mid-thigh length), and a pretty color (soft brown) and curly rather than wavy, though not enough to fluff out too much behind her. Her eyes are a brighter green than is typical, but nothing strange or luminescent, her lips are full but not ridiculous, her skin is pale but not albino, her freckles are plentiful but not egregious.
She's about as strong and fast and capable as one could expect of her size and shape, and she's intelligent, but not a supergenious by any means.
So while she's not exactly normal by some standards, she's certainly just a human.
And around some places, that's just not enough.
In her favor, Lillian has two elements going for her.
First of all, she is a very skilled cosplayer. She can, with the right materials, make a costume to look like virtually anything, and wear it effectively. She can adjust her tone and accent, and even her gross body language, into anything she needs in order to complete her appearance. She has convincingly come across as an Orc of the Horde, a Battle Sister, a biker chick, Belldandy (with the help of considerable hair straightener and contact lenses), Makoto Kino, Miranda Lawson, an unusually tall Hermione Granger, and on one notable occasion, a Fraggle.
Second of all, Lillian is just a bit cunning. As long as it doesn't involve actually doing something she's incapable of, she can pretend nearly anything, if she's in the right frame of mind.
'Seeking survival' is a pretty right frame of mind.
Her own actual personality, though, is very reclusive and shy. She uses her cosplay to essentially be more adventurous and outgoing by
pretending to be so, and then acting the part. In truth, though, she's a worrier. It's part of why she's achieved her moderately extraordinary figure- a lot of worrying and a lot of acting on that worrying have given the twenty-four year old the drive to seek out all manner of resources (strictly through the internet or library) that she can use to develop her own exercise regimen, daily habits, and so on so that she can stay healthy, achieve and maintain a good enough figure for cosplaying, and achieve the know-how to build any costume.
In her day-to-day life, Lillian can be found mostly in her apartment, working from home as a forum moderator (with a reputation for being a cold bitch, at that) for one of the predominant games companies. There, she usually wears loose sweaters or sweatshirts and comfy sleep pants, though when she needs to go out, she swaps the sleeping pants for a long skirt and makes sure she's wearing a large enough hoodie that she can almost completely hide her face by drawing up the hood. She subsists on late-evening grocery runs and occasional trips to the convenience store- everything else, she tends to do by internet order.
It's only when the makeup and costume are on that she appears bold.
