"It is the year 1713 A.D. and this is Lilliad of nobility standing writing of sound frame of mind. I fear the most since last night. I was going about my normal nightly ride when I was attacked by an unseen intruder. I can still feel the mix of pain and pleasure of when it's fangs pierced my neck. The feel of when you feel so weak.. I felt it like no other. I just got weak.. weaker.. the last thing I remember is my eyes rolling up into the back of my head then collapsing. I awoke in the middle of the day having a great pain in my neck. Rushing in past the house servant and to the bathroom... oh god what I saw was nearly horrific. All color was gone from my face.. blood was all over my mouth and on my neck and even so down far as my more private area of my body. With somewhat of a new found strength I tore off my blood soaked gown and immediately got a servant to burn what's inside without a thought. I looked back to the mirror as I examined my neck and breasts.. there was two puncture marks right on the side of my neck."
