A charming, witty and charismatic woman, Liliana Vess is a master of necromancy and various other demonic arts. Among these arts Liliana is given the ability to alter and contort her body - an ability she uses to fill her stomach when the mood strikes. The foundations of her power rest in four separate deals she made with four separate demons, each empowering her and dramatically extending her lifespan, but her true strength is the Chain Veil she now wears, growing in power each time she absorbs another individual.

Beneath her condescending yet polite attitude Liliana is dangerously cruel and intelligent. She leaves no debts unsettled - after she is done, there is nobody who wants what she owes, nor anybody who could be in a position to claim it. Although the primary cause of her travel is her search for her demonic debtors, Liliana is never one to pass up an opportunity to have fun along the way.

She has a ruthless, almost business-like way of dealing with those who want to be eaten by her - namely, she forces them to prove her worth to her by having them feed other individuals she desires to her. Depending on how their dealing goes, when she is done Liliana may either honor the deal, add more terms to it or destroy the other party completely. Unwilling prey Liliana will happily gulp down and digest, but by far her favorite method is to take somebody and utterly break them, to the point that they need to be inside her. Liliana loves it when the pleading and the begging is genuine and not sexually driven.
