Species: Feral Pokémon (Lapras)

Before you stands a rare creature. A regal Lapras, with a distinct spotted blue hide. Its creamy underside is warm, and its skin is supple and blubbery. On the Pokémon’s forehead is a short, blunt horn, and behind that farther back on its head rest two ears curled like waves crashing into the surf. No legs, only flippers - the two in the front are big and powerful while the two behind are humbler and more skillful at angling through the water or gaining traction on land both sandy or solid. A short tail pokes free behind, beneath a heavy grey shell adorned with knobbly protrusions. Its intelligent gaze… No, not its, her intelligent gaze glimmers back down on you from two deep eyes, and there’s a certain gentleness in the air that is hard to put to words. Just from looking at her, you get the impression that if you asked, she would gladly help you cross the ocean… but a faint glimmer in that gaze makes you doubt yourself.

Then, her voice rings out, a haunting greeting, a soft, plaintive song of the sea. Echoing around you, it somehow surrounds you with a calming sensation. Inevitable as the crashing waves, it threatens to worry away your cares and draw you closer, closer… When, indeed, had she gotten so close? Her flippers had moved, but it might have been a dance rather than an intentional step, and the sway of her body had been only natural for the song she sung. Yet… she is close enough to reach out and touch, and the natural warmth of her skin can be felt from there. Does it really matter, if you let her meet you with a brush of her snout, a kiss of her tongue…?

------------------------------ Personality

Lapras is a gentle, intelligent pokemon. This individual is no exception - she rarely engages in battle unless pressed into a corner, and even then she can rarely bring herself to go all out. When one meets her, she is more likely to greet them with a musical chirp, and the native language of her name. Of course, she tends to ease herself close to those she meets, whether by soothing lullaby of voice or by curious and a constant endeavor to be adorably irresistible despite her size. It doesn’t always work out for her. She can, at times, be a bit too eager to get close, or a bit overeager in her gentle affections. It can be more than a little unnerving to have such a large creature intent on being in your personal space. She can be disconcertingly physical - she will happily brush her snout up to anyone. Big person or small pokemon, she makes it a point to calm and soothe the fighting spirit from others until they can’t help but allow her a bit closer…

This Lapras is a bit different than most others. It would be hard to argue that she is not a friendly pokemon, but those who come to know her say she can be rather liberal with her maw. Whether rescuing people lost at sea, transporting others across even the faintest body of water, or even just staying with her, those she meets inevitably seem to find her jaws parting wide, the shimmering pink gullet offering curiously hot flesh that takes hold and guides her new ‘friend’ into the beautiful, long that will take them plunge down her serene neck.

Within, all manner of fates await, depending on how one treats the pokemon. Meeting her with Kind, friendly warmth and a delighted ear to listen and revel in her song will meet only softness in her. Others… may never return. After all, a Lapras is a big pokemon, and satisfying that hunger is all too easy when met with fear. In the end, she is a big and strong pokemon, though she might never use her strength for any more than ensuring that her new friend does not flee. It can be all too easy to underestimate her gentle of press of her soft skinned blubber, and easy to forget the guiding aim of a flipper might leade deeper than one intends…

That is not to say that she does not enjoy the activities that any other pokemon do. Lapras loves singing and performing. One of the best ways to get on her good side is to offer her baked sweets. She has a large appetite befitting a pokemon of her size, and tends to enjoy treats of all colors and variety. She tends to eat with a zealous gusto that leads her to get carried away. One cupcake, two, before you know it your arms or paws are in her maw, teasing over her tongue and enjoyed with as much of a happy coo as that sweet, sugary frosting before.
