Nellie is an adolescent lamia. As is typical with her particular species of lamia, she's reached the age where it's time for her to start learning how to swallow full sized prey. Before when she was a child, she ate smaller animals that were easy to swallow, and it allowed her to grow to her current size of just a bit larger than your average human. But now as she transitions to an adult lamia in the next several years, her snake body needs to pack on a lot of muscle and grow to a length of forty or even fifty feet! That means she needs human-sized prey (preferably humans!) and lots of them! But swallowing large prey is still quite new to her. Her body is still learning to stretch, and she's still not that strong, so she's going to need some help!

So the sort of prey she's looking for is someone patient, helpful, and most of all willing! She's still learning the mechanics of swallowing someone bigger than her, and her belly is still growing and can just barely hold full sized prey. She certainly couldn't catch and swallow someone unwilling at this point. She'd have a hard enough time holding them still. And then trying to swallow someone who was actively resisting her is just a total non-starter. So she's looking for prey who are all right with being a little extra accomodating with the whole process of being swallowed and digested alive. If it's the sort of thing they enjoy, all the better!

Personality-wise, Nellie is chipper and friendly and eager to learn, but still bashful and lacking confidence about being a capable predator. If someone treats her with kindness and patience she'll be very kind and polite back. She's definitely not interested in people who will be mean to her.

In summary, this is a character meant for playing a particular kind of scene with a reluctant, inexperienced pred. Her character may develop more in the future, though. And if you have an idea for a scene with her that doesn't necessarily involve her learning how to be a pred, feel free to suggest it! Nellie's player is also friendly and always open to discussion. :-)

(If you're wondering why she can't just kill her prey before eating them like a more conventional and reasonable predator, the official explanation is: be quiet! The unofficial explanation is that we could just come up with some reason if it's necessary, like her species of lamia is horribly offended by the sight or taste of blood, or something else equally contrived. This is a vore fantasy! It already doesn't make sense.)
