Lamaya

“H-Hello there! M-M-My name is Lamaya. I’m a naga….you can probably see that due to my tail. It’s so good to meet you! Umm…unless you need something...I’ll be going now! ^^;”

Personality: Lamaya is a very shy being. That comes from being raised indoors for so long! She finds it so hard to be confident and talk to other people without feeling less than them. Once you get to know her though, she’s a wonderful being. She’s always willing to put other people’s needs before her own. She’s kind and generous, speaking in a cute soft voice that isn’t ever annoying to listen to. And if you make friends with her, she’ll always make sure she’s there for you. ((Even if she can be a bit love-needy at times. ^^;))

Occupation: Lamaya is what you call a steward. Or a manager. In a nutshell, she knows how to run things. Whether it is a small business or a bit of territory in a Kingdom, Lamaya is willing to take care of it and she does pretty well at what she does.

Body: When Lamia’s are born, most people expect for them to be hunters. They are expected to rise and attack lesser creatures, sinking their fangs into their body and coiling around their form until the life drains from their body. That was the way it was in less civilized times anyway! When the only society in this world consisted of yourself in your own survival, chances are the expectations were the reality. You hunt or you die. There is no middle ground.

Lucky for us, civilization brought an end to all of that stuff! At first there was tribes, a simple extension of comfort to the hunt or die phase of reality. But after that, beloved civilization came to the world! Survival was no longer a problem with the natural threats of the world more or less defeated, conquered, and tamed. We had built homes, farms, a society! And your success in this new world depended greatly upon your desire to work hard for yourself and your close family and allies.

This is the kind of world Lamaya was born into. It was lucky too, because Lamaya doesn’t have a violent bone in her body. She was born to a flirtatious and irresponsible pair of parents that quickly abandoned the little thing once she was born! So when she fell under the guidance of an adoptive pair of kind humans and grew up with them, she didn’t learn all of the hunting skills that a naga would have taught her!

Instead, Lamaya grew into and molded with the human society! With some difference of course, for a naga couldn’t truly fit fully into human society. Her parents, both wise scholars that taught at the nearby university, taught little Lamaya at home where they didn’t have to worry about other kids picking on her for being different. They gave her a wonderful education and the little nagaling was industrious and studious! She would grow up happily and go into college, earning many a curious look for her long tail and many male admirers while she was doing her schoolwork!

Graduating with a degree in management, Lamaya is out there looking for a job! The economy really stinks, so she’s looking and she’s willing to take whatever she can get! Please help her out! She needs to make money so she can get a home! D:
