Candace Danning tried, she really did. It's all of Humanity's fault for being such bigots and instigators of her rage, though to be fair she should be giving a lot of blame to her father. The product of genetic manipulation when she was still but a fertilized egg in a petri dish, her father attempted to create his subjective idea of perfection. To meld genetic code of many different creatures into his undeveloped daughter's genes. The result? Well, at first nothing out of the ordinary.

Then she got older and subtle temper tantrums began to become aggressive storms and displays of violence. It culminated in a day lacking outstanding description. She cannot even regale you with what was the catalyst of her anger that day.. But something snapped. Something that was holding her back truly unleashed itself and she began to grow... The carnage of a genetically 'improved' being now towering over buildings was unprecidented for the American Midwest, with the only benefit of this rampage being the slaughter of her father underfoot. ( Quite likely the spark of all this! ) Since the day of that first initial expansion, Candance has begun to finally show signs of calming down ( about as much as a monster gal can at least ), all the while honing her ability to enlarge herself and more importantly her new supplimental form (Daikaiju) for when she's really angry or serious.

Since that fateful turning point of her life, Candace has been regarded as something of a tempermental anti-hero. Often keeping her neighborhood/town safe out of frustration or being pleaded upon to help with other massive monstrosities. This leading into her unofficial moniker in the tabloids, as the potent Lady Kaiju!
